Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to displaying content on a reduced-size user interface. An electronic device with one or more processors, memory, and a display, receives content associated with a designated area of the display, where the content is associated with a plurality of available display formats stored in the memory. The device determines a size of the designated area and determines a first display format for the content from the plurality of available display formats based on at least the content and the size of the designated area. The device displays a representation of the content according to the first display format.

Abstract: An electronic device with a touch-sensitive display can obtain a plurality of alerts associated with dates and times. The device can detect a user input, and in response to the input display a notification interface. The notification interface can include a future notification representing a future alert with a date and time after the current date and time, and a past notification representing a past alert with a date and time before the current date and time. The future and past notifications can be separated by a graphical separator that has an indication of the current time. The future and past alerts correspond to different installed applications.

Abstract: Reduced-size user interfaces for providing weather information are disclosed. At an electronic device with a touch- sensitive display, indications of a location and a temperature at the location may be displayed. In some examples, a user may provide input through a touch on the touch-sensitive display and/or through a rotation of a rotatable input mechanism to display additional weather information, such as weather information for another location, another temperature, another time, and so forth. Abstract: An electronic device with a camera invokes a wireless communications pairing mode for pairing the electronic device with an external device. The electronic device obtains an image via the camera. The image contains a pattern displayed on a display screen of the external device, and the pattern comprises identifying information of the external device. The electronic device receives data from the external device for comparison with the image pattern. The electronic device determines whether the received data corresponds with the identifying information, and, in response to a determination that the received data corresponds with the identifying information, registers the external device as a paired device. In some examples, the electronic device is a smartphone and the external device is a wearable electronic device, i.e. a watch. Pairing the electronic device and the external device may allow the devices to exchange information and operate interactively with one another.
