Abstract:
The present disclosure generally relates managing display usage. In some embodiments, a device modifies various aspects of a displayed user interface as the device transitions from operating in a first device mode to operating in a second device mode. In some embodiments, the modifications involve altering the content included in a user interface and varying how the content is displayed.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and devices can efficiently manage the displaying of text on a screen of a computing device. For example, a client application can provide a data objet for a particular style window on the screen. The data object can include a data item, comprising text data, one or more units specifying one or more portions of the text data to be displayed in the style window, and an identifier corresponding to a particular display function to be used in displaying the text data. The display function can be invoked to determine a potential text string to display based on the text data, the one or more units, and one or more rules corresponding to the particular display function. Additional text strings can be generated to obtain a text string that is shorter than or equal to a maximum length for the data item.
Abstract:
A method includes displaying, on a touch-sensitive display, a plurality of application icons in a first configuration at locations on a hexagonal grid in relation to an origin. The application icons have corresponding ranks based on their respective locations in relation to the origin. In response to detecting a movement of a user contact from a first position to a second position: the display of a first application icon at a first location is translated to a second position; a second configuration of the application icons is determined based on the first location and the second location; and the display of the application icons is transitioned from the first configuration to the second configuration. In the second configuration, no application icon except the first application icon is displaced by more than one location relative to the first configuration.
Abstract:
Systems and processes for manipulating a graphical user interface are disclosed. One process can include receiving user input through a crown to rotate a virtual object. The process includes selecting a surface of the object from among the multiple surfaces of the object in response to determining that the crown rotation exceeded a speed threshold.
Abstract:
The present disclosure generally relates to methods and user interfaces for managing watch face user interfaces. In some embodiments, methods and user interfaces for managing watch faces based on depth data of a previously captured media item are described. In some embodiments, methods and user interfaces for managing clock faces based on geographic data are described. In some embodiments, methods and user interfaces for managing clock faces based on state information of a computer system are described. In some embodiments, methods and user interfaces related to the management of time are described. In some embodiments, methods and user interfaces for editing user interfaces based on depth data of a previously captured media item are described.
Abstract:
The present disclosure generally relates to managing user interface sharing. A computer system receives a representation of a first user interface template that specifies an arrangement of user interface elements. The computer system receiving a request to use the first user interface template for a respective computer system that includes a plurality of installed applications. The computer system initiates a process for creating a user interface for the respective computer system using the first user interface template. The process includes, in accordance with a determination that a first application is not available on the respective computer system, displaying an alert indicating that the first application needs to be installed on the respective computer system. The process includes, in accordance with a determination that the first application is available on the respective computer system, forgoing displaying the alert.
Abstract:
The present disclosure generally relates to displaying visual effects in image data. In some examples, visual effects include an avatar displayed on a users face. In some examples, visual effects include stickers applied to image data. In some examples, visual effects include screen effects. In some examples, visual effects are modified based on depth data in the image data.
Abstract:
The present disclosure generally describe user interfaces related to time. In accordance with embodiments, user interfaces for displaying and enabling an adjustment of a displayed time zone are described. In accordance with embodiments, user interfaces for initiating a measurement of time are described. In accordance with embodiments, user interfaces for enabling and displaying a user interface using a character are described. In accordance with embodiments, user interfaces for enabling and displaying a user interface that includes an indication of a current time are described. In accordance with embodiments, user interfaces for enabling configuration of a background for a user interface are described. In accordance with embodiments, user interfaces for enabling configuration of displayed applications on a user interface are described.
Abstract:
The present disclosure generally relates to generating and modifying virtual avatars. An electronic device having a camera and a display apparatus displays a virtual avatar that changes appearance in response to changes in a face in a field of view of the camera. In response to detecting changes in one or more physical features of the face in the field of view of the camera, the electronic device modifies one or more features of the virtual avatar.
