Abstract:
Touch inputs such as single-finger contacts and multiple-finger contacts are detected at an electronic device and translated into electronic touch communications for playback at an external electronic device.
Abstract:
Context- specific user interfaces for use with a portable multifunction device are disclosed. The methods described herein for context- specific user interfaces provide indications of time and, optionally, a variety of additional information. Further disclosed are non-transitory computer-readable storage media, systems, and devices configured to perform the methods described herein.
Abstract:
Techniques for a displaying user interfaces screens of a calendar application include displaying different screens based on an input modality. The calendar application may respond differently to inputs from a touch- sensitive screen, inputs from a rotatable input mechanism, inputs having higher intensities, inputs having lower intensities, and so forth.
Abstract:
A magnetic attachment mechanism and method is described. The magnetic attachment mechanism can be used to releasably attach at least two objects together in a preferred configuration without fasteners and without external intervention. The magnetic attachment mechanism can be used to releasably attach an accessory device to an electronic device. The accessory device can be used to augment the functionality of usefulness of the electronic device.
Abstract:
A top case assembly for a portable computer is disclosed. The assembly may include an integral unified (e.g., homogenous) top case formed from a single part. The integral top case provides an enclosure, frame and cosmetic exterior of the portable computer. The integral top case also serves as the primary structure of the portable computer. The assembly may include a variety of subassemblies such as keyboards, touchpads, circuit boards, and drives that are carried by the underside of the integral top case. The integral top case may be formed from aluminum slab that has been machined to form walls, openings, attachment areas and cosmetic areas of the top case.
Abstract:
An electronic device with a touch- sensitive display, one or more processors, and memory detects a first user input. In response to detecting the first user input, the device displays on the touch- sensitive display a user interface screen including a first affordance and a second affordance. The device detects a second user input including a contact on the touch- sensitive display. In accordance with a determination that the contact corresponds to selection of the first affordance, the electronic device is caused to turn off. In accordance with a determination that the contact corresponds to selection of the second affordance, the device causes initiation of a telephone call to a determined number.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to user interfaces for manipulating user interface objects. A device, including a display and a rotatable input mechanism, is described in relation to manipulating user interface objects. In some examples, the manipulation of the object is a scroll, zoom, or rotate of the object. In other examples, objects are selected in accordance with simulated magnetic properties.
Abstract:
A method includes: at an electronic device with a touch-sensitive display and a rotatable input mechanism: receiving data representing a collection of photos stored on an external device; displaying a first view of an image, the image comprising a first representation including a visual representation of a first photo in the collection of photos and a second representation including a visual representation of a second photo in the collection of photos. The first representation and the second representation may be arranged in fixed positions with respect to each other, and, in the first view, may be displayed at a first size. A first movement of the rotatable input mechanism may be detected and, in response, a second view of the image may be displayed in which the first representation and the second representation are displayed at a second size different than the first size. In other words a wearable electronic device, here computer watch, with a rotatable input device, like a crown, and a display, the display showing a collection of photos in a thumbnail presentation, whereby the number of photos on the display is reduced or increased when a rotation input of the crown is detected, i.e. less or more photos at a greater or smaller size are presented.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to electronic mail user interfaces. A device, including a display, a touch-sensitive surface, and a rotatable input mechanism, is described in relation to accessing, composing, and manipulating electronic mail. In some examples, a user can provide input through the rotatable input mechanism to access a landing screen of an electronic mail application. The landing screen concurrently displays an affordance for accessing an electronic mail inbox and an affordance for accessing an interface for composing electronic mail.
Abstract:
An electronic device with a touch-sensitive display can detect a contact with the display, and in response to detecting the contact, the device can display a user interface screen representing a corresponding application. The user interface screen can include an affordance for launching the application, and a set of information obtained from the application, where the set of information is updated in accordance with data from the application.
