PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring system for remotely monitoring the state of a monitoring object apparatus and detecting the foretoken of an abnormality. SOLUTION: The host computer (100) of a manufacturer/dealer of a clinical inspection apparatus (200) receives state data of respective parts from part sensors (203a, 203b, ...) of the clinical inspection apparatus (200) of a user and the received state data are compared with a prediction condition stored in a condition storage part (104) in a state monitoring part (105), and thereby the foretoken of the abnormality is detected. The predicted condition includes a condition created in accordance with life data of each of the parts and a condition created upon the occurrence of the abnormality in accordance with the transition of the state data prior to the occurrence of the abnormality. The measuring instrument (1) has a browser function, and a monitoring unit (12) monitors a state of a control unit (11), and a transfer request for a URL according with the state of the control unit (11) is sent to the WWW server (24), whereby a proper page of the operation manual is displayed on a monitor (14a).

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a management system capable of preventing unexpectedly high communication charge resulting from data transmission to a management server.SOLUTION: The management system is provided with a blood glucose level measuring apparatus 1 for measuring a blood glucose level, a management server, and a communication apparatus for communication with the management server via a network line. A controller 18 in the blood glucose level measuring apparatus 1 is provided with a data transmission unit 18f, a transmission instruction unit 18g, a forbidding condition determination unit 18c, and a transmission forbidding unit 18h. The data transmission unit 18f transmits data such as a blood glucose level to the communication apparatus. The transmission instruction unit 18g instructs the communication apparatus to transmit the data such as a blood glucose level to the management server. A forbidding condition determination unit 18c determines whether a forbidding condition is satisfied or not. If it is determined that the forbidding condition is satisfied, the transmission forbidding unit 18h forbids transmission by the data transmission part 18f or forbids transmission instruction by the transmission instruction unit 18g, thereby preventing the data such as a blood glucose level from being transmitted to the management server.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sample measuring device and a sample measuring system capable of lessening a work burden of a user.SOLUTION: A sample measuring device comprises: measuring means which performs measurement with respect to a specific constituent contained in a sample; measurement data storage means which stores measurement data obtained by the measuring means; display means which displays the measurement data; sensor piece detection means which detects insertion and extraction of a sensor piece where the sample is spotted thereon; and first data transmitting/receiving means which transmits the measurement data through wireless communication. The first data transmitting/receiving means, after the insertion of the sensor piece is detected by the sensor piece detection means in a step S1, performs an initial authentication processing of the wireless communication in a step S40.

An online manual capable of efficiently identifying a trouble cause and not requiring trouble for updating. A service engineer (SE) connects an SE terminal to a service support system (1) and transmits a trouble event caused in a device to be repaired. In a judgment route data storage section (16), judgment materials for identifying a symptom cause are stored in the descending order of the goodness of fit. A data extraction section (20) extracts the judgment material in that order and represents it to the SE terminal. When the SE selects a judgment material matched with the state of the device to be repaired, the data extraction section (20) extracts a countermeasure action content corresponding to the judgment material from the countermeasure-action data storage section (11), an action data storage section (12), and a content storage section (13) and displays it on the SE terminal.

A maker of a measuring device (1) provides, on a client support system, a WWW server (24) for providing the operation manual of the measuring device (1) in an HTML format, and an ordered article control server (27) for performing a supply control on the expendables of a measuring device (1). The measuring device (1) has a browsing function, and a monitor unit (12) monitors the status of a control unit (11) to display a proper page in the operation manual on a monitor (14a) by requesting a transfer of a URL to the WWW server (24) according to the status of the control unit (11) at that time. Ordering of expendables is possible by means of an ordering screen incorporated in the operation manual.
