Abstract: The invention relates to a thermoplastic moulding composition comprising a copolymer A and an aromatic polyester B. The (co)polymer A contains at least 50% by weight of styrene and is present in a proportion of from 85 to 99% by weight, based on the moulding composition. The aromatic polyester B makes up from 1 to 15% by weight of the moulding composition and comprises b1) from 10 to 90 mol%, based on B, of recurring units of the general formula in which: -X- is -O-, -S-, -SO2-, -SO-, -CO-, an alkylene group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms and/or an alkylidene group containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and b2) from 90 to about 10 mol% of recurring units of the general formula in which -X-, R , R , R , R , R' , R' , R' and R' are as defined above. The moulding composition may contain conventional additives and is used for the production of mouldings.

Abstract: Thermoplastic molding materials contain a copolymer A and a graft copolymer B. The copolymer A is a hard component comprising one or more copolymers of styrene and/or alpha -methylstyrene with from 20 to 40% by weight of acrylonitrile. The graft copolymer B comprises one or more crosslinked acrylate polymer with a mean particle size of 0.5-0.8 mu m (d50 value of the cumulative mass distribution), a particle distribution, expressed by the ratio in the range Q>/=0.6, and a glass transition temperature Tg below 0 DEG C. A mixture of styrene and acrylonitrile in a weight ratio from 88:12 to 65:35 is grafted onto this rubber.
