    Abstract: Procedimiento para la obtención de formiatos de ácido fórmico, según el cual - se pone a disposición una corriente líquida I, que contiene ácido fórmico, y - una corriente líquida II, que contiene un formiato metálico, las corrientes líquidas I y II se alimentan a una columna de rectificación de modo que para la corriente líquida II se selecciona un punto de alimentación más elevado, o el mismo que para la corriente líquida I para la columna de rectificación, las corrientes líquidas I y II se mezclan en la columna de rectificación bajo separación de agua a través de la columna de rectificación, y de la columna de rectificación se extrae una corriente de cola que contiene el formiato de ácido fórmico, caracterizado porque se obtiene la corriente de cola como fusión, que contiene menos de un 0, 5 % en peso de agua.

    Abstract: Propionic acid-containing composition (A) in solid and preferably pure form, comprises at least a metal compound (I). Propionic acid-containing composition (A) in solid and preferably pure form, comprises at least a metal compound (I) of formula ((M(n+))(H +>) x(CH 3CH 2C(O)O ->) (n+x)). M(n+) : n-valent alkalimetal- or alkaline earth metal cation; n : 1 or 2; and x : 0.25-5. Provided that when M(n+) is potassium, then x is not equal to 0.75-1.75. An independent claim is also included for the preparations of (A) comprising: either heating a neutral alkalimetal- and/or alkaline earth metal propionate and propionic acid in a molar ratio of 1:0.25 to 1:5 to give a homogeneous mixture and partially solidifying the homogeneous mixture, where the homogeneous mixture contains less than 1 wt.% of water; or heating a neutral alkalimetal- and/or alkaline earth metal propionate and propionic acid in a molar ratio of 1:0.25 to 1:5 to give a homogeneous mixture and crystallizing the homogeneous mixture, where the homogeneous mixture contains 1-15 wt.% of water and the molar ratio of the neutral alkali metal- and/or alkaline earth metal propionate to propionic acid is 1:0.75 to 1:1.75 if M(n+) is potassium.
