Abstract: The invention relates to the production of a multi layer fiber web from c ellulose fibers by separately feeding of at least two different fiber suspen sions and water into a multi layer head box, wherein separating elements sep arate them from each other and from the water. After leaving the nozzle mout h of the head box, they are transported to a device on which a web is formed . The water is guided in a way, such that it ends up in form of a layer betw een two layers of fiber suspensions on the web forming device after exiting the nozzle mouth and thus prevents mixing of the different fiber suspensions . At least one retention agent and/or at least one dehydrating agent is dose d to the fiber suspension and/or to the added water to increase the retentio n, dehydration and formation.

Abstract: Disclosed are aqueous dispersions of polymers which are obtainable by free-radical suspension polymerization of ethylenically unsaturated monomers in an oil-in-water emulsion whose disperse phase comprises at least one fluorescent dye dissolved in at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer and has a mean particle diameter of at least 1 µm, in the presence of at least one surface-active compound and at least 0.5% by weight, based on the monomers, of at least one hydrophobic nonpolymerizable organic compound, of a hydrophobic polymer formed from at least one C2 to C8-olefin having a molar mass M w of up to 10 000, of a siloxane having a molar mass M w of up to 5000 and/or of a polystyrene having a molar mass M w up to 10 000; processes for preparing said dispersions; use of said dispersions; and powders which comprise at least one fluorescent dye and is obtained from the above dispersions by drying, in each case for marking materials.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the marking of materials with coded microparticies, wherein coded microparticles which are obtainable by (i) polymerization of at least one water-soluble monoethylenically unsaturated monomer in the presence of at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer having at least two double bonds in the molecule by inverse water-in-oil suspension polymerization, doped nanoparticles being used as the suspending medium, (ii) emulsion polymerization of water-insoluble monoethylenically unsaturated monomers with from 0 to 10% by weight, based on the monomer mixture, of at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer having at least two double bonds in the molecule, doped nanopartices being used as an emulsifier for stabilizing the disperse phase, (iii) polymerization of at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer together with a copolymerizable dye which has an ethylenically unsaturated double bond, and, if appropriate, agglomeration of these partices or (iv) agglomeration of at least two different groups of microparticles which differ in their absorption, emission and/or scattering of electromagnetic radiation to give aggregates having a mean particle diameter of from 300 mum to 500 mum are used, the use of the coded microparticles for the marking of materials and the materials marked with the microparticles.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing solid materials on the basis of synthetic polymers and biopolymers (A) by: (1) the solubilisation of (A) or of (A) and an additive (B) in a non-aqueous chaotropic liquid (C), (2) contacting of the solution or dispersion obtained (AC) or (ABC) with a liquid (D1), which is miscible with (C), in which however (A) is insoluble, to produce a phase (E) containing (A), (C) and (D1) and optionally (B) and a liquid phase (F) containing (C) and (D1), (3) optional separation of (E) from (F), (4) removal of (C) from (E) with the aid of (D1), to produce a gel (G) on the basis of (A), (5) impregnation of (G) with a liquid (D2) which is miscible with (C) and (D1) and in which at least (A) is insoluble and has a higher volatility than (D1), and (6) removal of (D1) and (D2) from (G) by evaporation. The invention also relates to the use of said materials.
