Abstract: Polyether polyol obtained by attaching alkylene oxide to hydrogen-functional compound, is new, where the hydrogen-functional compound is a mixture of (a1) oligomeric fatty alcohols with 16-66 carbon atoms in the chain, (a2) at least one bifunctional alcohol and/or a polyether alcohol with a molecular weight of 62-2000 g/mol, and/or (a3) at least one trifunctional alcohol and/or a polyether alcohol with a molecular weight of 92-3000 g/mol. Independent claims are included for: (1) the preparation of polyether polyol; (2) producing polyurethane, comprising reacting polyisocyanate with a compound having at least two isocyanate groups with reactive hydrogen atoms, in which isocyanate groups and urethane groups containing reaction product of at least bifunctional isocyanate with at least a polyether polyol is used as polyisocyanate; and (3) isocyanate groups and urethane groups containing reaction product of at least bifunctional isocyanate with a compound having at least two isocyanate groups with reactive hydrogen atoms, where the compound having at least two isocyanate groups with reactive hydrogen atoms is polyether polyol.
