    Abstract: The gaseous mixture resulting from the catalytic reaction of 3-methylpyridine with ammonia and oxygen is treated with water to recover 3-cyanopyridine. The treatment takes place in two steps. In the first step there is used a temperature of about 30 DEG to 60 DEG C. and in the second step at a temperature about 10 DEG to 30 DEG C. lower than in the first step.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for the production of pyridine or 3-methyl pyridine which comprises reacting ammonia with acrolein in the gaseous phase in a fluidization reactor containing a fluidized bed of catalyst.     Abstract: 1397153 Formaldehyde DEUTSCHE GOLDUND SILBER-SCHEIDEANSTALT 7 Sept 1972 [14 Sept 1971] 41551/72 Heading C2C [Also in Division B1] Formaldehyde is produced by the oxidation of methanol with a free oxygen-containing gas at elevated temperature over a catalyst comprising oxidic compounds of molybdenum and iron in a weight ratio calculated as MoO 3 to Fe 2 O 3 of less than 10 to 1 and having a titanium dioxide content of up to 90% wt, wherein the catalyst has been prepared by a specified method of coprecipitation, shaping and calcining (see Division B1). The oxidation is effected at 275-310‹ C., using a methanol to air molar ratio of from 129 : 1 to 15 : 1 by passage of the gas mixture through a tubular reactor immersed in an oil bath.

    Abstract: 2. Animal feed additives based on fermentation broth further contain, in addition to the additive, other fermentation broth constituents. Such products, after spray-drying, generally have an excessively low bulk density and/or are sticky. To granulate these products, processing aids have therefore been added, e.g. perlite or sawdust. Alternatively, such products have been dewatered by azeotropic distillation with paraffin oil to give granules. The object of the invention is a highly concentrated animal feed additive which, in particular, is to have a bulk density of at least 550 kg/m and a standardisable active compound content. 2.2. By pelletising, stable granules can be produced from an animal feed additive-containing fermentation broth if the fermentation product is contained at at least 33% by weight. Granules can particularly readily be produced by pelletising if the pellets are built up of at least 30% by weight fine grain with at least 70% by weight having a particle size
