    Abstract: The invention relates to dispersing agents based on a mixture of at least one compound of the formula 1 in which Ar is benzene or naphthalene, X is -CH2-CH2- and/or -CH2-CH(CH3)-, 0 to (m-1) of the radicals A are hydrogen, 1 to m of the radicals A are benzoyl and/or naphthoyl, 1 to m of the radicals A are -CO-CM=CH-COOM and/or -CO-CH2-CH(SO3M)-COOM, M being a cation, R , R and R are hydrogen and/or alkyl having 1 to 14 carbon atoms, R is hydrogen and/or alkyl having 1 to 9 carbon atoms, n is a number from 1 to 150 and m is a number from 2 to 12, with compounds of the formula 2 in which R and R independently of one another are an alkyl group from methyl to butyl and are in the m-position relative to the hydroxyl group, R is hydrogen or methyl and Me is a cation, especially a proton or an alkali metal cation, alkaline earth metal cation or ammonium cation, and x and y are the numbers 0, 1 and 2, the total of these numbers being at least 1. The dispersing agents according to the invention are suitable for preparing dispersions of dyes, pigments, plant protection agents and pesticides and for preparing dyeing baths, padding baths and pastes for paper printing and textile printing.

    Abstract: Oils for metal processing (e.g. oils for cutting operations) are typically aqueous emulsions, and the emulsifiers for these processing oils should have lubricating bacteriostatic/bactericidal, and corrosion-inhibiting properties. Suitable emulsifiers should comprise the following components: (A) about 30 to 50, preferably 40 to 45, weight % of a chlorinated paraffin sulfonate in admixture with a partially chlorinated paraffin; (B) about 15 to 30, preferably 20 to 25, weight % of at least one alkylsulfonamide/carboxylic or alkylsulfonamide/aminocarboxylic reaction product or a salt thereof; (C) about 15 to 20, preferably 12 to 17, weight % of a surface-active compound of the formula R(CH2CH2O)nH in which n is from 3 to 12, and R is C10-C22-alkanoyloxy or -alkenoyloxy, C8-C22-alkoxy or -alkenoxy, C6-C16-alkylphenyl or -alkylnaphthyl, or mono-, di- or tri-C8-C22-alkyl- or -alkenylamine; and (D) about 15 to 25 weight % of a mono- or di-ethanolamine C12-C20 aliphatic carboxylic acid reaction product.

    Abstract: The aqueous solvent-free dispersions contain polymers of monomers of the formulae (1) and (2> H2C=CR-COOC2H4-CnF2n+1 (1), in which R denotes fluorine, chlorine, hydrogen or methyl and n denotes numbers from 5 to 18 H2C=CRX (2), in which R denotes hydrogen or methyl and X denotes a group of the formulae C6H5, CO2CH2C6H5, CO2C2H4C6H5, CN, CO2CH2C6H4Cl, CO2C6H4-C1-C4-alkyl, CO2C2H2n+1 where n = 10 to 22, CONHY, in which Y denotes hydrogen, C1-C4-alkyl, C1-C4-hydroxyalkyl, C1-C4-alkoxy- C1-C4-alkyl or CO2-C1-C20-alkyl, and one or more emulsifiers of the formula (3> CnF2n+1CR R -CHR -(CH2)x-NR2O (3), in which R denotes C1-C4-alkyl or hydroxyethyl, R and R are identical or different and denote C1-C4-alkyl, hydrogen or fluorine, R denotes hydrogen or C1-C4-alkyl, x = 1,2 or 3 and n denotes numbers from 3 to 9, and/or of the formula (4> R R R NO (4), in which R and R may be identical or different and denote C1-C4-alkyl or hydrogen and R denotes C8-C18-alkyl. The dispersions are used as water repellents and oleophobic agents for textiles.
