Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer device capable of suppressing power consumption. SOLUTION: In a notebook-sized PC, prescribed voltage is outputted from the OUT of a DC/DC 64 so that power can be supplied to an internal device 101 and a card bus slot 23 to which a PC card is connected, and a part of the outputted voltage is fed back from an FB to the DC/DC 64 so that whether or not the voltage is correctly outputted can be checked. Then, when the connection of the PC card to the card bus slot 23 is detected by a detecting circuit 100, the voltage to be fed back to the FB of the DC/DC 64 is decreased by a resistance R 3 , and the voltage higher than that in the other case is outputted from the DC/DC 64. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superior information processing system with a power management function which reduce the power consumption by adequately lowering or stopping the operating frequency of a CPU by providing a power-saving means which places the CPU in power-saving mode for a specific time after the end of a transaction. SOLUTION: The CPU and a peripheral equipment are driven asynchronously and while the both communicate with each other, an interruption request is generated for a handshake and the CPU should respond speedily to the interruption request. The CPU, however, is in a mere wait state for the specific period after a specific transaction ends and the timing of the generation of a next interruption request is previously known. In this wait state, the operation of the CPU is lowered to save the electric power and the CPU is put back to its normal mode before an interruption request is generated to keep the maintainability of the system.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor for establishing both the suppression of the vibration of a displayed pointer and the responsiveness excellency or smoothness of pointer movement. SOLUTION: This information processor 100 for deciding the display coordinates of a pointer displayed on a display device 150 based on input coordinates from an input device 110 is provided with a moving distance calculating part 120 for calculating the moving distance of the pointer between a plurality of input coordinates sampled as time series, an average calculating part 130 for averaging one or more sampled input coordinates to calculate display coordinates and a range changing part 140 for changing the range in time series of the input coordinates to be used for calculating the display coordinates by the average calculating part 130 based on the moving distance. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the visibility of a character, etc., in an image in enlarged display.
SOLUTION: An image display device is provided with: an image displaying means 3 for displaying an image on the screen on the basis of image data 22; an area indicating means 27 for indicating an area 23 to be enlarged to be a target of enlargement display in the displayed image; and a data changing means 28 for changing a part 26 corresponding to an enlarged display area in the image data so as to display an image of the area to be enlarged in the enlarged display area 24 on the screen. The image display device is further provided with a brightness adjusting means 28 for adjusting a brightness value that corresponding image data have such that the contrast of the image in enlarged display becomes higher than that of the original image in the area to be enlarged.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device for electronically recording a locus written by a pen capable of performing the input with varied kind or color of pen. SOLUTION: This device comprises the pen 30 having plural kinds of pen points differed in color, thickness or the like so as to be selectable of a prescribed pen point from the pen points and a digitizer 50 for grasping the locus drawn by the selected pen point of the pen 30 and recognizing the attribute for the kind of the pen point. The position information obtained from the locus of the pen point grasped by the digitizer 50 and the attribute information related to the recognized attribute of the kind of pen point are outputted to a computer device 10 through a connecting cable 9.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify wiring of a controller and an I/O connector by mounting a connector cable for an outside device so that a contact part comes in contact with the contact part of the contact cable and the contact part does not come in contact with a return pin part. SOLUTION: When a connector cable 5 for an outside device is not inserted into a hole 3, the tip 11a of a return pin part 11 comes in contact with the tip 4a of a contact part 4. In this state, a signal supplied to the contact part 4 is transmitted to the return pin part 11. When the connector cable 5 is inserted into the hole 3, the tip 11 a of the return pin part 11 and the tip 4a of the contact part 4 are separated each other and the contact part 4 comes in contact with a contact part 6 of the connector cable 5. In this state, the signal supplied to the contact part 4 is not transmitted to the return pin part 11 and is transmitted to the contact part 6 of the connector cable 5.
