    Abstract: A film-forming resin comprising a copolymer consisting of: (a) from 30 to 80 % by weight of a (meth)acrylamide monomer represented by the formula (1) wherein R represents CH3, etc. and R and R represent each a hydrogen atom or a C4 - C12 alkyl group; (b) from 2 to 50 % by weight of a (meth)acrylamide monomer represented by the formula (2) wherein R and R represent each a hydrogen atom or a C1 - C3 alkyl group; (c) from 0 to 30 % by weight of a (meth)acrylate monomer or a (meth)acrylamide monomer represented by the formula (3) wherein R represents a C2 - C3 alkyl group, R and R represents each CH3 or C2H5, and a represents a number of 0 or 1; and (d) from 0 to 40 % by weight of a (meth)acrylate monomer represented by the formula (4) wherein R and R represent each a C2 - C4 alkylene group, R represents a hydrogen atom, CH3 or C6H5, and b and c represent each a number of from 0 to 50; and a hair care product containing the same: The film-forming resin of the present invention makes it possible to sustain a hair style over a prolonged period of time even under a high humidity. Further, it is excellent in shampoo-washability. When used as a hair-styling resin, it achieves an effect of giving a long-lasting and good finishing.

    Abstract: Hair cosmetic compsn. comprises a water-soluble polysaccharide with hydrophobic gps., which has a viscosity at 25 deg C and 30 rpm of 1-30 mPas, in the form of a 10 wt.% aq. ethanol compsn. comprising 2 wt.% of the polysaccharide. Pref. the viscosity is 1-15 mPas. The water-soluble polysaccharide with hydrophobic gps. is obtained by introducing a hydrophobic gp. into a polysaccharide, selected from guar gum, cellulose, pullulan, chitin, chitosan, carrageenan, xanthan gum and carob gum (esp. guar gum, hydroxyethylated cellulose, pullulan and carboxymethylated chitosan). The hydrophobic gp. is selected from 2-30C hydrocarbon gps. or gps. of formulae -(CH2)2N (CH3)2RX , -(CH2)3N (CH3)2RX , or -CH2CH(OH)CH2N (CH3)2RX where R=2-30C hydrocarbon gp. and X=halogen atom.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aerosol composition, having a liquid phase uniformly and stably composed of a stock solution and a propellant and capable of discharging homogeneous foams without performing shaking operations. SOLUTION: This aerosol composition is obtained by uniformly mixing a stock solution containing 0.1-1wt.% higher alcohol (e.g., myristyl alcohol), 0.5-5wt.% surfactant (e.g., a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether), 10-50wt.% ethanol and 50-90wt.% water with a propellant containing a liquefied petroleum gas. The amounts of the blended stock solution and the propellant are 2-20 pts.wt. propellant based on 80-98 pts.wt. stock solution. A polyorganosiloxane, a film- forming polymer and an oil are preferably further blended therein. The propellant can uniformly and stably be dissolved or solubilized in the stock solution within a wide temperature range such as 5-40 deg.C in spite of a relatively small amount of the surfactant used.
