    Abstract: PURPOSE: To enable the preparation of crystalline aluminosilicate having excellent characteristics, by reacting an aqueous solution of sodium aluminate with sodium silicate keeping the concentration of the solution at a specific high level.
    CONSTITUTION: A supersaturated aqueous solution of sodium aluminate having a concentration of 30W70wt% is charged into a strong stirring mixer while keeping the temperature in the mixer at 50W90°C. A supersaturated aqueous solution of sodium silicate having a concentration of 35W50wt% is charged to the mixer in 15W60min under vigorous agitation, and the agitation is continued after the addition for 10W60min. The composition of the mixture is adjusted to the molar ratios (Na
    2 O:Al
    2 O
    3 :SiO
    2 :H
    2 O) of (1.5W2.0):1:(2.0W2.5):(15W30). After the completion of gelation, the mixture is heated at 80W100°C for 20W60min to obtain the slurry of crystalline aluminosilicate. The slurry is dried and pulverized to afford crystalline aluminosilicate having excellent characteristics as the builder for detergent.
