Abstract: PURPOSE:To expand free selection of a location for storing a tall bottle or the like by a method wherein a frame is composed of a lower frame and an upper frame which is attached at nearly the middle part on top, and a second container having a size of a half the width of the frame is movable transversely. CONSTITUTION:A refrigerator main body has doors 2, 3 and 4. The doors 2 are of a swing type, and the doors 3 and 4 are of a drawer type. The door 4 is attached to a door main body 5, a rear board 6 and nearly the middle part on top of the rear board 6, and composed of a lower frame 7 connected to the door main body 5 and an upper frame 8 connected to the door main body 5. Behind the door 4, a first container 12 having a full width is placed in a space between the door main body 5 and the rear board 6 and mounted on the lower frame 7, and a second container 13 of a half the width of the frame is placed in an upper part of the space between the door main body 5 and the rear board 6 and is movable side to side. When a tall bottle is stored, the bottle is placed so that its upper part is located in the space beside the second container 13. Therefore, the bottle can be easily taken out and in.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator defining a refrigerating chamber in an upper layer and a drawer-type freezing chamber in a lower layer while having an ice making device therein, wherein the refrigerator is featured by an enlarged ice storing space and an improvement in handling of an ice scoop. SOLUTION: A freezing container 26 is provided with a partition wall 29 as an integral part thereof for defining a frozen food storing corner 27 and an ice storing corner 28. An ice storing box 30 is mounted in the ice storing corner 28 along the inner wall thereof. The partition plate 29 is provided with a crossing region 32 at a front portion of the outer side wall of the ice storing box 30 and such a crossing region 32 merges with the front wall 31 of the ice storing corner. The crossing region 32 is indented toward the frozen food storing corner 27 to define a recessed portion 33. Numeral 34 indicates a guide rib and an opening of the recessed portion 33 is disposed at an outer side wall of the ice storing box 30. Since an ice scoop 35 can be set between the recessed portion 33 formed toward the frozen food storing corner 27 and the guide rib 34, the ice storing box 30 can expand its storing space to a front wall of the freezing container thus assuring a maximum ice storing space.
