Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a toxic gas from being generated and to safely supply fuel by providing a fresh foodstuff storage compartment, a furnace that burns solid fuel containing carbon, a fan to circulate air, an excess carbon dioxide gas adsorber and a sealed container containing fuel and a fuel supply device. CONSTITUTION:A shutter 50 supplies solid fuel 19 deposited in a sealed container 48 to a furnace at right timing. The air in the storage compartment 1 is supplied to the furnace 12 through a duct 10 by a fan 14 to burn the solid fuel 19. The waste gas enters into an adsorber 22 through cooling unit 13. switch valve 28 and duct 24. Carbon dioxide is adsorbed by adsorbing material 30 therein, and only nitrogen is circulated to the storage compartment 1 through discharge pipe 26 and switch valve 29. After a certain elapsed time, the switch vales 28, 29 are switched to cause the carbon dioxide entering the adsorber 23 is adsorbed by the adsorbing material and only nitrogen N2 is circulated to the storage compartment 1. If the adsorbing materials 30, 31 reach their limits of adsorption capacity during such a process, a fan 32 is operated to supply air to the adsorbing materials to desorb the carbon dioxide and perform regeneration.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To remove NOx and SOx generated in a combustion furnace and to prevent the deterioration of piping by acid corrosion by providing an acid filter to an apparatus for feeding combustion gas to a preservation chamber of perishable material. CONSTITUTION:Exhaust gas of a combustion furnace 12 is transferred through a blower 14 and adsorbing device 22, 23 for excess carbon dioxide gas to a preservation chamber 1 and the air in the preservation chamber 1 is circulated as a combustion air to the combustion furnace 1. In the above preservation apparatus for perishable material, a cooler 13 to cool the high-temperature exhaust gas is placed at the downstream of the combustion furnace 1 and an acid filter 51 is provided at the downstream of the cooler to cool the SOx and NOx in the exhaust gas to increase the relative humidity of the gases and condense sulfuric acid and nitric acid. The acids are removed with the acid filter 51 to prevent the corrosion of pipings with the acids.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent toxic gases from emitting in a storage house, by changing the capacity of gaseous carbon dioxide adsorbers with capacity variable changeover valves. CONSTITUTION:A carbon-containing fuel is burned in a combustion furnace 12 to convert oxygen of a gas in a storage house 1 into gaseous carbon dioxide. Air required for combustion is circulated with a blower 14. The capacities of adsorbers 22 and 23 are changed with capacity variable changeover valves 51 and 52 according to the size of the storage house 1. Unnecessary gaseous carbon dioxide is adsorbed and the oxygen concentration in the storage house due to oxygen desorption of the adsorbers is simultaneously prevented from increasing. A gas monitor 45 for sensing a gas atmosphere in the storage house is connected to a means 50 for operating respective parts.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To keep stabilized gas atmosphere by providing a gas monitor which has a function to set the gas concentration arbitrarily, and is equipped with a contact to operate at the set concentration and another contact to operate at the concentration arbitrarily higher or lower than the set one. CONSTITUTION:The system is provided with a combustion furnace 12 for combusting carbon-containing fuel, a blower 14 for cycling the air, and adsorption unit 22 and 23 containing adsorbent to adsorb excessive carbon dioxide. A gas monitor 45 is provided with sequential controller 50 which allows various parts to operate based on the detection of the gas atmosphere in duct switching valves 28, 29, 33, 38, 41, 42, 49 and the storehouse 1, and has a function to set the gas concentration at an arbitrary level, a contact 48 operating at a prescribed gas concentration and another contacts 51 and 52 operating at a concentration arbitrarily higher or lower than the prescribed one.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To increase the accuracy of gas concentration control by providing a blower-controlling means which stops the blower after the gas concentration reaches a prescribed level in the chamber and driving the blower for a certain time every a certain interval and a monitor to detect the gas in the chamber, after start of operation. CONSTITUTION:When the gas atmosphere reaches the setting values in the storehouse and the gas monitor detects the start of storage, the blower controller 44 stops the blower 14. Then, the inner timer and counter are reset, and the timer drives the blower on the passage of 1hr. Further, after 1hr and 1min, the timer allows the gas monitor 45 to work and input the data of gas concentration 3 times, when the blower 14 to stop.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate harmful gas in a combustion furnace in a perishable material preservation apparatus circulating exhaust gas of a combustion furnace to a perishable material storage chamber to increase the carbon dioxide gas concentration in the storage chamber, by providing a means for releasing the gas in the combustion furnace to be outside of the apparatus. CONSTITUTION:Carbon dioxide gas generated from a combustion furnace 12 is supplied through a blower 14 and adsorption devices 22, 23 to a storage chamber 1 for the preservation of perishable material and the air in the storage chamber 1 is circulated to the combustion furnace 12. The perishable material preservation apparatus having the above structure is provided with a means to release the gas in the combustion furnace 12 from the apparatus when a prescribed time is lapsed after the start of combustion or the temperature near the combustion furnace reaches a prescribed level. When the atmosphere in the storage chamber reaches a prescribed state, the harmful incomplete combustion gas filled in the combustion furnace 12 is released to prevent the intrusion of the harmful gas into the storage chamber 1.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To adequately control CO2 concn. in a perishables storage chamber that the air is circulating between the chamber and a combustion furnace for making CO2, by providing a CO2 adsorption device in the passage of combustion gas from the furnace to the chamber for adsorbing excess CO2, and also providing change-over valves at the upper and down stream of the furnace for making a bypass from the chamber to the device, reliesing CO2 adsorbed in the device with air stream in this bypass, and feeding this CO2 into the chamber when CO2 concn. in the chamber become lower than a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:The objective perishable material preservation apparatus is composed of a perishable material storage chamber 1, a combustion furnace 12, a blower 14 and carbon dioxide gas adsorption devices 22, 23 arrange din circular form. Change-over valves 41, 42 are attached to the upstream and the downstream of the combustion furnace 12. When the oxygen concentration in the gaseous atmosphere in the storage chamber 1 is lowered below a prescribed level and the carbon dioxide gas concentration is lower than a prescribed level, the change-over valves 41, 42 are connected with each other to desorb the carbon dioxide gas absorbed in the adsorption devices 22, 23 and to increase the carbon dioxide gas concentration in the storage chamber 1.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the intrusion of impurity gas such as CO into a storage chamber, by placing an incomplete combustion detection sensor in a line connecting an adsorbing apparatus and a storage chamber and detecting the incomplete combustion. CONSTITUTION:An incomplete combustion detection sensor 48 is placed in a piping 40 connecting adsorption apparatuses 22, 23 and a storage chamber 1. When a carbon dioxide gas generator 8 is in an incomplete combustion state, the blowers 14, 32, etc., are stopped and an ignition heater 21 is cut off. At the same time, change-over valves 28, 29, 33, 38, 41, 42 for changing the flow of gas in the piping are closed to inhibit the intrusion of impurity gas into the storage chamber 1.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To permit the storage of transporting articles in a cold storage chamber even during cold heat accumulating operation by a method wherein at least one set of a ventilating fan is operated in conjunction with a cold storage chamber temperature detector during the cold heat accumulating operation to control the amount of cold air invading into the cold storage chamber. CONSTITUTION:Cold heat accumulating operation is effected by operating a compressor 40. When cold heat accumulating agent 28 is cooled and solidified perfectly by a cooler 29 and the temperature of a cold heat accumulating temperature detector 44 gives a predetermined temperature, lower than a freezing temperature, a cold heat accumulating temperature detector 43 is operated and the operation of the compressor 40 is stopped. In this case, the inside of a cold storage chamber 36 is not cooled to a cold storage temperature and, therefore, the b-contact of a cold storage chamber temperature detector 39 is in a conducted condition and both of ventilating fans 30, 31 are operated to ventilate air. When the inside of the cold storage chamber 36 is cooled to the cold storage temperature, the b-contact of the cold storage chamber temperature detector 30 is released from the conducted condition thereof and, therefore, only the ventilating fan 31 is operated. The temperature in the cold storage chamber 36 is controlled at a set temperature by repeating above-described operation during cold heat accumulating operation whereby the temperature of transporting articles 48, carried into the cold storage chamber 36, may be controlled at a temperature within the range of set temperatures.
