    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a lubricating oil suitable for refrigerators wherein a chlorofluorocarbon which is non-destructive of the ozone layer is used as the refrigerant by blending a specific polycarbonate with a phosphorous triester compd. and, if necessary, another specific compd. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. polycarbonate of formula I (Su is a group of formula II; R is a group of formula III, IV or V; R1 is a group of formula VI or VII; R2 is a 30C or lower hydrocarbon group or a 2-30C hydrocarbon group having an ether group; and (n) and (p) are each 1 to 12) is blended with 0.0002-5 pts.wt. phosphorous triester compd. and 0-5 pts.wt. at least one compd. selected from among phosphoric triester compds., epoxy compds. and phenolic compd. to obtain a lubricating oil. This oil is excellent in lubrication, cleanness and electrical insulation, and esp. suitable for refrigerators such as a car air conditioner wherein a chlorofluorocarbon which is non-destructive of the ozone layer is used as the refrigerant.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a bottle which is not deformed and is self-standable even when sterilization treatment is performed under heating after filling by making the changing ratios of dimensions in the height direction and in the trunk diameter direction of carbon dioxide-filled drink-filled bottle before and after hot bath test each at a specified value or smaller and making the angle of falling down of the bottle after hot bath test at a specified value or larger. CONSTITUTION: A polyester bottle consisting of a polyester with a crystallization speed measured by a t1/2 temp. elevating method (140 deg.C) by means of a differential scanning calorimeter of at most 150sec is prepd. In this case, when a hot bath test wherein under a condition where a drink contg. 2.5 gas vol. carbon dioxide is filled and sealed at 23 deg.C, the bottle is immersed in a hot bath at 70 deg.C for 1 hour is performed, the following conditions should be satisfied. The condition 1: the changing ratio in the height direction of the carbon dioxide-filled drink-filled bottle before and after the hot bath test is at most 5% and the changing ratio in the trunk diameter is at most 5%. The condition 2: the angle of falling down of the bottle 1 after the hot bath test is at least 10 deg..

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a plastic bottle having a bottom part simple in the structure and excellent in standing function and inner pressure resistance. CONSTITUTION:A depression 1 as in the form of a cone is made up at the bottom part of a plastic bottle and a leg 2 having a larger thickness is made around the peripheral edge of the depression and into the form of a nearly inverted V consisting of the lowermost end of the peripheral wall of the depression and a chamfered part thereof. Since the bottle bottom part consists of a conical depression and a circular leg formed therearound, the bottom structure is simplified. Since the leg is formed all around the peripheral edge of the bottle bottom part, the bottle is provided with a stable standing function. The conical depression and a larger thickness of the leg make the bottle insusceptible to buckling and provide the bottle with a high inner pressure resistance.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce a transportation cost of a synthetic resin made container which has been needless after use by a method wherein the synthetic resin made container after use is shrinked to an extent that it is not restored to an original state, transported under a shrinked state as it is, and scraped or processed for reclamation. CONSTITUTION:A barrel part 3 having flexibility of a synthetic resin made container 1 is bound wholly over from a mouth stopper part 2 to a bottom part 4, and its volume is reduced. At that time, the barrel part 3 widens left and right by the bound content, and is deformed in a flat board state. A volume of the synthetic resin made container 1 which has been vacant after use is lessened than a volume under a state wherein it is filled with contents thus. It is transported under that state to a reclaimed site, an incineration site, or a plant for recycling, etc. Thereby, a more number of the synthetic resin made containers can be transported at once, and their transportation costs can be reduced.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To shorten the forming cycle of a bottle made of a heat-resistant saturated polyester by specifying the area drawing magnification from a preform made of saturated polyester to a bottle, and the heat set temperature after the drawing. CONSTITUTION:When a bottle 1 made of saturated polyester consisting of a mouth tap part 2, higher quality part 3, body part 4 and bottom part is manufactured, a preform of saturated polyester is manufactured first by injection molding or extrusion molding, etc. Then, when the draw-blowing of the preform is performed, the area drawing magnification from the preform to the bottle is made to be 9 times or more (preferably, the longitudinal drawing magnification is 2, 3 times or higher, the lateral drawing magnification is 3, 4 times or higher, the lateral drawing magnification/longitudinal drawing magnification ratio is 1. 11. 7) but 15 times or less, and after the drawing, a heat set is done in a range of 80-140 deg.C. By this method, a bottle which is superior in heat- resistance can be manufactured while shortening the forming cycle.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the objective compounds in high selectivity by charging a tin compound-based esterification catalyst, both raw materials of phenols and aromatic carboxylic acids and water together into a reactor in reacting the phenols with the aromatic carboxylic acids in the presence of the aforementioned catalyst in the above-mentioned reactor and producing the subject compounds. CONSTITUTION:(B) Phenols, especially phenol are reacted with (C) an aromatic carboxylic acid, preferably an aromatic dicarboxylic acid, especially terephthalic acid in the presence of (A) a tin compound-based esterification catalyst, preferably an organotin compound in a reactor to produce the subject compounds, preferably a diaryl aromatic dicarboxylate, especially diphenyl terephthalate useful as an intermediate for dyes, high-molecular polymers, ultraviolet light absorbers, synthetic resin stabilizers, coloring agents, medicines, etc. In the process, water at a molar ratio of 0.01-10, preferably 1-5 to the raw material (C) is charged together with the catalyst (A) and the raw materials (B) and (C) into the above-mentioned reactor to afford the objective compounds in high selectivity.
