    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a U-shaped linear light source type surface light emission device whose luminance is high, whose power consumption is low and which is constituted so that the unevenness of the luminance is hardly caused. CONSTITUTION:As for an edge light system surface light emission device obtained by arranging linear light sources on the side surfaces of a transparent light emission plate 1 and providing a light diffusion and transmission part on the back surface of the plate 1; the linear light sources are the U-shaped linear light sources 2 extending over three side surfaces of the plate 1 and a side reflection plate 4 is arranged on one side surface of the plate 1 where the light source 2 is not arranged. Besides, the light diffusion and transmission part is provided so that the area ratio thereof becomes the maximum at a point which exists at the intermediate position of the side surface of the plate 1 on the reflection plate 4 side or at a position on the more center side of the plate 1 than the intermediate position and where the luminance of the linear light source is minimized and becomes smaller as it apart from the point. Then, the parts of the light diffusion and transmission part where the area ratio is identical exist in a circumference state or in a circular-arc state.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a surface light-emission device without causing a nonuniform brightness by the light emitted from the bonded part between the photoconductive plate and rear reflecting plate. CONSTITUTION:The pattern of a light diffusing and transmitting part 2 is formed on the rear of a transparent photoconductive plate 1. A light absorbing bonded part 6 obtained by adding a black colorant into an adhesive is formed on the rear reflecting plate 4. The rear reflecting plate 4 is formed on the rear of the photoconductive plate 1, and the photoconductive plate 1 and the rear reflecting plate 4 are bonded surface to surface outside the effective display part 7 of the photoconductive plate 1. A surface diffusing plate 3 is then arranged on the front of the photoconductive plate 1, and the line light source 5 is arranged on the side face of the photoconductive plate 1.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To omit a process concerning welding and lamination with a double- side tape by providing a transparent pattern adhesive layer the area of which gradually increases as it recedes in the distance from a light source between a transparent light leading plate and a white scattering reflecting plate. CONSTITUTION:A transparent adhesive layer 5 the area of which gradually increases as it recedes in the distance from a light source 1 is provided between a transparent light leading plate 2 and a white scattering reflecting plate 4. The pattern of the transparent pattern adhesive layer 5 is circular, and its area is changed by changing the measurement of its diameter. The transparent pattern adhesive layer 5 is formed by a printing method or a transcription method such as a gravure printing, an offset printing or a screen printing of a pressure sensitive adhesive made of polyester, transparent acrylic, vinyl and other resin as its main component. In this case, there is no process of welding and others, and it is possible to prevent deterioration of quality without causing flaws.

CONSTITUTION:Optical waveguide plates 2 are arranged as the transparent photoconductors on both sides of the linear light source 1, the light diffusing plate 3 is arranged above the optical waveguide plate 2, and a light absorption part 6 which has an area distribution almost proportional to an illuminance distribution is formed on the reverse surface of the light diffusing plate 3. Further, light diffuse transmission parts 5...5 are formed on the reverse surface of the optical waveguide plate 2 while increasing in area with the distances from the light sources 1 and 1, and the light diffuse reflecting plate 7 is arranged on the reverse surface of the optical waveguide plate 2 where the light diffuse transmission parts 5...5 are formed. Consequently, the brightness can be increased and the thickness of the structure is reducible.

As a result, it is possible to introduce the light at a part with high intensity of light quantity in the neighborhood of the light sources 2, 2 to a part with low intensity of light quantity separated far from the light sources 2, 2, which forms the uniform surface light sources as a whole.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce eddy current loss of a printed wiring board by forming parallel linear holes through an insulating substrate, and providing a printed coil forming a spiral conductor pattern having an equal width around the part of the insulating substrate between the linear holes, including both surface of the part and internal surfaces of the holes to the substrate together with other circuits. SOLUTION: Parallel linear holes 2 are formed through an insulating substrate 1, and a conductor pattern 3 having an equal width is formed spirally around the part of the substrate 1 between the holes 2, including both surfaces of the part and the internal surfaces of the holes 2. The holes 2 are composed of two or more narrow and long through-holes formed in parallel with each other, and an axis for forming the conductor pattern 3 of a printed coil 4 is formed in a printed wiring board. The conductor pattern 3 can be formed by plating both surfaces of the part between the holes 2 and the internal surfaces of the holes 2 after unwanted parts on the surfaces are coated with a resist, by eliminating the unwanted parts of a conductive film with a laser beam after the film is formed on both surfaces of the part and the internal surfaces of the holes 2, and so on.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface light emitter that produces uniform luminance when arranged at the back of a COG type liquid crystal module for the construction of a liquid crystal display. SOLUTION: An edge-light type surface light emitter is for use in a liquid crystal display that includes a COG type liquid crystal module comprising a glass substrate directly mounted with driving LSI chips 6. The surface light emitter comprises a transparent photoconductive plate, a line light source 8 on one side of the photoconductive plate, a light-diffusion transmission part on the back of the photoconductive plate, a back reflecting plate 10 on the back of the transmission part, a band-like photo-absorptive layer 11 formed in the peripheral region of the reflecting plate 10 on the side facing the photoconductive plate at least near to the line light source 8, and a diffusing sheet on the surface of the photoconductive plate. The photo-absorptive layer 11 is widened at its positions near to the LSI chips 6 corresponding to the arrangement pitch thereof.
