Abstract: PURPOSE:To achieve the maniaturization and power conservation of a printer by fixing image receiving paper by a mechanical chucking mechanism consisting of an elastic member and a fixing member. CONSTITUTION:An arm or a cam is released and a pushed-up start end hook 34 is returned to its original position by the force of a spring 38. At this time, image receiving paper 4 is held by the start end hook 34 and fixed by the contraction force of the spring 38. Next, a rotary drum 32 is rotated and the image receiving paper 4 is wound around the rotary drum 32 along the almost entire surface thereof. Thereafter, the pin 41 of a movable block 36 and the fixing pin 42 of a rotary drum main body 32A forming a pair along with the pin 41 are clamped by a clamper. At this time, force is applied to a terminal hook 35 and the movable block 36 in the direction resisting against the force of a spring 43 and the terminal hook 35 is moved to the terminal position of the image receiving paper 4. At this position, the terminal hook 35 preliminarily drawn up by the arm or cam is released and the terminal of the image receiving paper 4 is fixed by the terminal hook 35.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To decrease the energy loss of laser in the printing period by providing laser beam irradiating means and laser retaining means, and directly irradiating a diffused beam irradiation target of the irradiated laser beam. CONSTITUTION:When the laser head frame body 34 slides on an ink ribbon 3 that is in close contact with an image receiving paper 4 via a cover glass 36, a semiconductor laser 31, while it always keeps a distance that is equal to the thickness of glass 36, moves on the ribbon 3. Accordingly, the ribbon 3 is irradiated at all times by a diffused laser beam having a spot size of D1 by D2, with result that images and the like are printed on the image receiving face of the image receiving paper 4 at a set image dissection degree in accordance with irradiation angles thetaA and thetaB, the thickness of the glass 36, and the structure of the ribbon 3. As a result, with respect to the laser irradiated from the laser 31, an efficiency of use can be achieved in the order of 90%. In this manner, loss of energy of the laser beam is reduced in the printing period, and further a printer head device 30 can be obtained, in which the printer can be reduced in size.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording head which widens the margin of smoothness of usable recording sheet and requires simple dustproof measures. SOLUTION: A recording liquid holder 6 comprises a wall face 6a, and a large number of micro columnar bodies 6b standing at an interval from the wall face 6a to form micro gaps thereon. The recording liquid holder 6 generates capillary action and a recording liquid holding part 15 can hold recording liquid fluidably in the micro gaps between respective columnar bodies 6b on the bottom face 6a. Recording liquid in a heating region 15a is heated by means of a heater body 2a to form a liquid drop which is flied toward a recording sheet P set oppositely to a transfer part 1. When the height h of the columnar body is set at 5 μm or less and the interval d thereof is set at 6 7 μm or above, delivery speed of the recording liquid drop is enhanced and the flying distance can be increased.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately reproduce an intermediate gradation through a plurality of times of overprinting without increasing a concentration of dyes of ink and a determination amount by carrying out the overprinting at a second time and afterwards on the basis of overprinting data subjected to a process of raising a lowest gradation value to gradation values of printing data of a first time. SOLUTION: Printing data for a first time and overprinting data PP1 for a second time and afterwards are generated from data to be printed on the basis of an original image. A data conversion table 50 generates the overprinting data PP1 from printing data P1 when an output gradation value is raised for a lowest input gradation value and the raised value exceeds a predetermined input gradation value. Moreover, the data conversion table forms a secondary data conversion curve having a conversion function expressed by a power series and projecting downward. A recording head flies a mixed dilute liquid of a predetermined concentration having an ink and a diluent liquid mixed by a predetermined ratio to a recording paper on the basis of the overprinting data PP1, thereby printing a record image having an intermediate gradation of the original image precisely reproduced.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict formation of images of a different density from data and correctly reproduce a density gradation even when a discharged liquid rebounds, by arranging a medium-mixing discharging tank which is adapted so that a pressure to a medium inside the tank is not higher than a pressure to liquid faces of two nozzles. SOLUTION: A dilUent is filled in a first nozzle 34 communicating with a first introduction port 35 through a first pressure chamber 40. A first meniscus D1 is formed at a leading end part of the first nozzle by a diluted solution 51. Similarly, the other ink is filled in a second nozzle 36 through a second pressure chamber 41, and a second meniscus D2 is formed at a leaaing end part of the second nozzle 36 by an ink 52. When the ink 52 is let to ooze from the second nozzle 36 for printing, the ink 52 selects a hydrophilic process part showing favorable wettability to ink and is supplied to the first nozzle 34. Therefore, the ink 52 us hard to leak to the other part than the hydrophilic process part and adhesion of ink to the periphery of the nozzles 34, 38 is restricted.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a sure mixed discharging action by a method wherein the sure formation of a dot having precise density is realized. SOLUTION: At the driving of a printer device having a first pressure chamber, in which a certain amount of a medium is introduced, and a first nozzle communicating with the first pressure chamber, a second pressure chamber, in which a discharging medium is introduced, and a second nozzle communicating with the second pressure chamber, a first pressure applying means for pushing out a certain amount of the medium and a second pressure applying means for discharging the discharging medium, let the first pressure applying means perform a pushing out action from a steady state so as to ooze out a certain amount of the medium from the first nozzle toward the second nozzle in order to bring a certain amount of the medium into contact with the discharging medium near the tip of the second nozzle. After that, let the second pressure applying means perform a discharging action from a steady state so as to discharging a certain amount of the medium and the discharging medium under the state being mixed together. Further, after the end of the pushing out action of the first pressure applying means, the discharging action of the second pressure applying means is brought to an end.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously eliminate defects of both a thermal transfer type and an ink jet type while utilizing advantages of the both and to guarantee recording of high quality with a low running cost by previously charging liquid in a liquid passage for supplying the liquid to a discharge port before the recording. SOLUTION: Pressure due to deformation of a piezoelectric element is operated and recording is conducted by using ink 6 of liquid-like recording material and dilute liquid 4 for diluting the ink. In this case, before supplying the ink 6 and the liquid 4, a flow passage is previously charged with filler liquid 11 such as triethylene glycol monomethyl ether, and hence the passage is sufficiently moistened with the liquid 11. Accordingly, after a discharge tube 14 is connected and the liquid 11 is replaced with the liquid 4 and the ink 6 while discharging the liquid 1, the ink 6 and the liquid 4 are completely charged in the passage. Therefore, mixture of bubble is prevented, and hence recording of high quality is always guaranteed.
