Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent dust from being attached onto an objective lens and further prevent dust from entering an optical block. SOLUTION: A cover plate 45 is provided to cover a transparent aperture 24 of a lid member 21 that covers an objective lens 11 when an optical pickup section 12 is moved to an outer position at which the objective lens 11 is caused to be positioned at the outside of an optical disk mounted onto a disk rotation drive mechanism 3. An operating section 55 for moving the cover plate 45 away from the objective lens 11 is provided either at the lid member 21 or the cover plate 45. When the optical pickup section 12 is moved to the outside of the optical disk, the cover plate 45 is caused to be moved away from the objective lens 11 by means of the operating section 55, thereby causing the cover plate 45 to cover the objective lens 11 while avoiding abutment against the objective lens 11.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent optical characteristics from deteriorating due to dust and foreign objects and to miniaturize and make light an optical device by mounting optical parts to a hologram laser in one piece so that the lattice surface of the hologram laser can be sealed. SOLUTION: An optical base 11 formed by a flat plate has a mounting hole 11a at the mounting position of a hologram laser 12. The hologram laser 12 is mounted on the lower surface of the optical base 11 so that a lattice surface 12a opposes inside the mounting hole 11a. In this case, it is adhered over the entire periphery of a periphery step part 12b by such means as adhesion for the optical base 11. Optical parts 13 consist of a parallel flat plate, a filter, and the like and are mounted so that they are adhered to the upper surface of the optical base 11. The lower, open edge and the upper open edge of the mounting hole 11a are closed by the hologram laser 12 and the optical parts 13, respectively, so that the lattice surface 12a of the hologram laser 12 is closed by the optical parts 13 via the optical base 11.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the use of a recording medium driving device for regarding attaching of a cover. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a base body 3 in which a recording medium mounting part 10 is disposed for mounting a recording medium 100, a cover 2 slidable between the opening position of the recording medium mounting part and the closing position of the same with respect to the base body, and a plurality of sensors 14, 15, 16 and 17 arranged apart from one another in the moving direction of the cover. The cover is detachably attached to the base body, and a part to be detected 4 by the plurality of sensors is disposed on the surface of the cover facing the base body. When the cover is attached to the base body, the position of the part to be detected 4 is detected by the plurality of sensors, and the cover is moved to a predetermined position irrespective of the cover attaching position to the base body. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and quickly adjust an optical pickup capable of recording and reproducing of different kinds of optical disks. SOLUTION: An optical disk 1 for adjustment is provided with a first signal recording layer 5 having the same physical format as a CD and a second signal recording layer 7 having the same physical format as a DVD, and EFM modulated data is recorded like concentric circles in respective signal recording layers 5 and 7, and recording areas 8 and 9 of respective signal recording layers does not overlap. Thus adjustment of an optical pickup 11 for CD reproducing and that for DVD reproducing are continuously performed without replacement of the optical disk for adjustment.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the processing, package, and transportation of a supporting member which supports a lens bobbin, and to make it with a material which can be easily obtained and which is inexpensive. SOLUTION: A moving magnet type is constituted by providing a magnetic circuit to a lens holder 3 and by providing driving coils 22 and 23 to a fixing part 1. As the supporting members 4, 4, one which is integrated by blanking a sheet of stainless steel in the state that a plurality of supporting members 4, 4 are continuous by connection pieces 10, 10 at both the end sides is used.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speaker apparatus with an excellent reproducing characteristic without being affected by interference in a high sound frequency band. SOLUTION: The speaker apparatus includes: a diaphragm 5 supported vibratably in a prescribed direction z; a pair of magnets 11a, 11b arranged opposite to a direction x orthogonal to the vibration direction z of the diaphragm 5; and a voice coil 6 wound in a winding axis direction in parallel with the direction x to which a pair of the magnets 11a, 11b oppose. A part 6a of the voice coil 6, where a current flows in a direction orthogonal to the winding axis direction and the vibration direction, is joined with the diaphragm 5, and a part 6b of the voice coil 6, where the current flows in the other direction, is arranged opposite to a pair of the magnets 11a, 11b. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source and an image display device having performance higher than that of conventional ones. SOLUTION: In a light source device part 2, a white light LT 2 obtained by ionizing and light-emitting a gas 24 by a laser beam emitted from a semiconductor laser 10 is used as the light source. The light source obtained in this manner as the white light can be substantially treated as a spot light source, and has a uniform band level in a visible light band. An image display device is configured in a manner that a single color light for a color image is extracted from such white light and displayed. For the image displayed on the display device, pixels can be made small up to the same degree as those of the light source. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the adjustment of a pair of optical pickups which are used to reproduce a double-sided reproduction DVD and to quickly conduct the adjustment. SOLUTION: An optical disk is provided with a first signal recording layer 5 of a first disk substrate 2 side onto which the light beam from one of the optical pickups is made incident and a second signal recording layer 7 of a second disk substrate 4 side onto which the light beam from the other optical pickup is made incident. Recording tracks are provided on the layers 5 and 7 in a concentric circular manner and the data of the layer 7 are recorded in a reverse direction with respect to the recording direction of the data of the layer 5.
