    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a display device in the thin constitution and having stable and highly bright luminance by providing the plural cathodes arranged corresponding to plural phosphor display segments and plural control electrodes together with a common acceleration electrode. CONSTITUTION:Anode voltage, for instance, of about 10kV is supplied to the phosphor display segments 2R, 2G and 2B of the respective colors red, green and blue through an anode lead wire 12 while impressing voltage, for instance, of 300V on the second grid. Luminous brightness can be controlled by selectively displaying ''ON'' and ''OFF'' according to the voltage given to the first grid G1 while controlling pulse length of the voltage to be impressed to the first grid G1. The electron beam from the cathode K is widened by a separator 10 for being radiated on the whole surface of the display segment 2. Thereby, the respective segments 2R, 2G and 2B are selectively illuminated to perform display with high brightness.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain inexpensively a double refraction plate having a large area by working a transparent block of a network polymer thereby obtaining the double refraction plate. CONSTITUTION:A transparent block 3 of a network polymer is obtd. by using bisphenol A diglycidyl-ether as a principal material and methyl nadic acide anhydride as a hardener and curing the mixture for 4hr at 80 deg.C then heat-treating the same for 15hr at 150 deg.C. The block 3 is heated with a heater 4a of a thermal compression device 4 and is compressed under the external force exterted thereon in an Av-Av' direction by a compression plate 4b. The molding is then cooled to an ordinary temp., whereby an optically anisotropic block 3' is obtd. The double refraction plate having a large area is inexpensively obtd. by cutting the block 3' so as to have a desired angle theta and thickness (t) to the optical axis Oa.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain uniform stereoscopic sense from the whole of a stereoscopic picture, by arranging a large-diameter convex lens in front of an optical path selector, and by making each of image pickup ranges of lenses constituting the optical path selector coincident with each other on one focal surface of the convex lens. CONSTITUTION:Due to the arrangement of a convex lens 4 in front of an optical path selector 5, the image pickup range of flat convex lenses 5(1)-5(3) constituting the optical path selector is coincident with a point P-point Q on the 1st focal surface C1 of the convex lens 4. A distance P'Q' from the point P to point Q is expressed by P'Q'=2f tantheta. Here, (f) is the focal length of the convex lens 4. Even if positions of the lenses 5(1)-5(3) move, the image pickup range on the 1st focal surface C1 of the lens 4 at each position is always the point P-point Q and unchanged. Therefore, if the image pickup is carried out by putting an object on the focal surface, a displayed stereoscopic picture has the equal quantity of stereoscopic information on the whole, and an observer can obtain a uniform stereoscopic image from the whole.

The resultant cathode ray tube permits relatively instantaneous judgment on the just focus state.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a receiver which can display a plurality of pictures without missing, by using the aspect ratio of a display screen of a picture tube different from the usual, and displaying another picture at the rest part of the display screen. CONSTITUTION:Although the aspect ratio of a normal television screen is 1: 1.33, the ratio of this invention, as shown in Figure, is 1:1.85. In this screen, a main picture 1, in 1:1.33 of aspect ratio is pictured on the left and the 1st sub- narrow-picture 2a is displayed in the range of 0.39 from the upper in the rest part and a blank 3a for channel display is provided, as example, in the range of 0.11 at the lower part. Further, the 2nd sub-narrow-picture 2b is pictured in the range of 0.39 below it and a blank 3b is provided in the range of 0.11 at the lowermost part.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To sense stereoscopic video without feeling naturalness when viewed from any kind of angles by an observer, by locating plural cathode-ray tubes in a matrix state and by forming a large-sized picture display section. CONSTITUTION:A signal S* whose the part of an isolation signal is converted to a white level signal in the image signals S obtained from an image pickup device, is fed to a field memory 13a or 13b through a sampling value holding cir cuit 10, an AD converter 11 and a switching circuit 12. A field memory 13 is divided into 25 ranges in correspondence to cathode-ray tubes 31-325, and in respective ranges, the image signals to be fed to the corresponding cathode-ray tubes among the cathode-ray tubes 31-325 which form a display device 3t, are written by the address control of a control pulse generator. The image signals read out from the field memory 13a or 13b are supplied to a subtracter 19 through a switching circuit 17 and a DA converter 18. The signals obtained at the output side of the subtracter 19 are fed to the switching circuit 20 and are switched and supplied to the cathode-ray tubes 31-325 which form the display section in order.
