    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable a stem with an exhaust tube to be efficiently mass-produced by forming its flare section by heating and molding a powdery glass. CONSTITUTION:The melting point of a molded body 13 formed by a semicrystalline glass, is abut 440 deg.C. After the molded body 13 is formed by sintering and thermal molding, a conductor 14 is airtightly fused to the molded body 13 and the thus formed member is then integrated with a metallic shell 12 to make a flare section 33. At the same time, an exhaust tube 11 is attached to the glass of the flare section 33, thereby obtaining a desired stem 34 with the exhasut tube 11.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To project a picture satisfactorily with simple constitution by forming a picture projecter with use of a beam index-type color image receiving tube. CONSTITUTION:Video light beams from beam index-type color image receiving tubes 1L and 1R are projected on a screen 4 through lens systems 2L and 2R and deflection boards 3L and 3R different in deflection angles at 90 deg.. An observer views the screen 4 through eyeglasses where deflection boards 5L and 5R matching to the deflection angles of pictures are provided on left and right eyes. Consequently, pictures from two image receiving tubes 1L and 1R are independently supplied to right and left eyes of the observer, and the stereoscopic observation is executed. By utilizing a beam index-type color image receiving tubes as the image receiving tubes 1L and 1R, an extremely bright picture can be obtained through the deflection boards 3L and 3R. When a display is executed with the aid of a single video signal, the same video light beam is projected from two image receiving tubes 1L and 1R, whereby the picture can be brightened twise. In this case, the deflection boards 3L and 3R are unnecessary.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent shrinkage or the like when forming a beam index by applying a photoadhesive material to a color selection electrode while being exposed after drying and phosphor powder for an index is adhered to its surface. CONSTITUTION:An electron beam index is provided on an aperture grille or the like, which is a color selection electrode of a color picture tube while improving convergence and the linea of horizontal deflection by means of said index. Thereby, a color selection electrode is formed by a method, in which a photosensitive slurry 20 is applied to an aperture grille plate 14P, wherein a large number of stripes 14G are formed on a magnetic metal thin plate by etching while being dried, then exposure is given plural times and each time of exposure a different kind of phosphors 25A for index is made to adhere. Accordingly, due to a drying method process no shrinkage and grouping are generated on a color selecting electrode thus obtaining the highly accurate index.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To fix surely and check a rise in temperature of a phosphor layer by holding the apron part of a display cell while pinching it between the front plate and the fixing member and further by filling the space formed by the front panel of the display cell, the transparent member and the window hole with a cooling member. CONSTITUTION:A front panel 1A of a display cell 40 is partly projected outward from a side plate 1C, while said projected part 50 is pinched between the front plate 42 of a unit case 41 and a fixing member 45 such as a resin mold or the like for fixing the display cell 40. Thereby, the sidplay cell is not exfoliated from the unit case even when a force is applied from the surface due to cleaning of the display panel surface. Further, as a cooling liquid 56 is filled between the transparent plate 55 and the front panel 1A, a rise in temperature of a phosphor layer is checked inspite of high-tension drive for evading from a drop in luminous brightness. Moreover, because of fixing by the front face panel 1A, the unit case 41 and the display cell can be closely adhered thus making it waterproof.
