    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain vehicular trim material, which is excellent in flame retardancy while satisfies high class impression appealing to soft feeling and visual sensation by a method wherein polyester fiber having the specified fiber length and melt viscosity is flocked to the base material having the specified heat conductance by the specified fiber density or more. CONSTITUTION:By flocking polyester fiber, which is longer than the thickness of base material and has the melt viscosity of 1,000 poise or higher, to the base material having the heat conductance of 0.3cal/cm.s.deg or more by the fiber density of 50g/m or more, statically flocked flame retardant article for vehicular trim is made. In this case, the melt viscosity at 280 deg.C under the shearing rate of O/sec is employed. By the way, the preferable sectional shape of the polyester fiber is flat section from the view point of soft feeling and tendency for resisting against glock tilting and especially one having the flatness ratio (b/a) of 1.2 or more. Further, for imparting high class impression, the preferable shape of the polyester fiber is one, which prevents mirror reflection, concretely one having a large number of projected parts 2 on the outer peripheral surface of the fiber 1.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a net for temporal construction that has excellent strength, durability and flame retardancy by using polyester fiber that contains a specific amount of a difunctional phosphorus compound, comprises polyester mainly including ethylene terephthalate units having specific physical properties. CONSTITUTION: The objective net is made of polyester fibers that contain a difunctional phosphorus compound (suitably 1,2-dimethylphosphine oxide or the like) in an amount of 0.2-1.0 wt.% calculated as elementary phosphorus, a polyester of which >=85 wt.% recurring units are ethylene terephthalate, has an intrinsic viscosity of >=0.65, a strength of >=6.0 g/d, and a yarn fineness of 200-800 deniers. The density of the fibers constituting the objective net is optimally 1.39 g/cm and the optical birefringence is >=135×10 . The objective net has semipermanent flame retardance, the fabric hand is soft and the dry cleaning can be applied thereto.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the titled polyester which is suitable for blended yarn fabric with cotton, useful as clothes and working clothes and has improved flame retardance and feeling, by blending polyester with a specific phosphorus compound and a metallic compound of Mg, Li or Ca. CONSTITUTION:(A) A raw material component having a repeating constituent unit comprising >=70mol% ethylene terephthalate is reacted and, at the early stage of polymerization, (B) 0.8-3.0wt% based on the component A of a phosphorus compound [e.g. (2-carboxyethyl)methylphosphinic acid, etc.] shown by formula I[R1 and R2 are H, 1-18C alkyl, etc.; R3 is aryl, etc.; A is (CnH2n) and n is 1-4] and (C) one or more metallic compounds of Mg, Li and Ca are added to the component A in such a way that correlation shown by formula II(P is amount of the component B added based on acid component; M is amount of the metallic element added based on the acid component) is satisfied and polycondensation is carried out to give the aimed polyester.
