Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce a bent pipe such as a racket frame excellent not only in surface grade but also in physical properties. CONSTITUTION:A mandrel formed by bundling many fine CFRP wire rads is covered with a tube and a carbon fiber hellcally wound layer is formed to the periphery of the tube using a filament winding method and, subsequently, the mandrel is pulled out to form a preform. This preform is received in a lower mold having a cavity formed into a desired bent pipe shape to close the lower mold by an upper mold and a resin is injected in the cavity while pressure is applied to the interior of the tube and the cavity is reduced in pressure to be infiltrated in the helically wound layer to produce a bent pipe such as a racket frame.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable even a long pipe to be prepared easily at high productivity, by shaping under leading-in a reinforcing fibrous base material in hose form stored between first and second means for supporting mandrel before the completion of the delivery of total amount of the same base material stored between the second means for supporting mandrel and a shaping means. CONSTITUTION:First and second means 1, 2 for supporting mandrel and a shaping means 3 and a take-off means 4 are arranged in the same axial line, and a single mandrel 5 is inserted through each means. A reinforcing fibrous base material 13 in hose form inserted under fitting to the mandrel 5 is stored at a section A, namely, a space between the second supporting means 2 and the shaping means 3, and the same base material is stored at a section B, namely, a space between the first supporting means 1 and the second supporting means 2. The take-off means 4 is worked and as the base material 13 is delivered to the shaping means 3, it is impregnated with a resin through sprayers 17, 18 and is shaped into a pipe form through a heated mold 16 for shaping. When the base material 3 is stored at the section A is decreased as shaping operation proceeds, the base material 13 stored at the section B is fed into the section A. As is operation is repeatedly executed, an FRP pipe comes out continuously from the take-off means 4.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an FRP material having a low facility cost without impairing mechanical characteristics of a molding without dust and noise by forming a folding pattern at least on one side surface of the molding made of a fiber-reinforced composite material. SOLUTION: The FRP material 1 is a lengthy solid flat plate strip-like molding in an entirety, and is used mainly as a reinforcing material of a concrete structure. Here, the material 1 is formed with an interstice pattern made of a layer of a thermosetting resin cured material on a surface of a molding 3 of the FRP material made of reinforcing fibers 3a and a resin cured material 3b. The interstice pattern is formed on a surface of a resin or the like when a woven fabric is press bonded to a resin or the-like having flowability as a casting mold, and, after the resin or the like is cured, the pattern formed on the surface of the resin or the like is formed when the fabric is released. That is, a cloth 2' is laminated and cured on the surface of the molding 3, and the molding 3 is supplied to a job site in this state as it is, then the cloth 2' is released from the molding 3 immediately before execution, and used as the material 1.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an IC chip from peeling from a substrate film or being disabled, by using an IC sealing frame having at least specified modulus of longitudinal elasticity. SOLUTION: An IC sealing frame 1 is made of FRP including reinforcing fibers 2 extending along the frame and a resin matrix 3. The frame 1 has a modulus of longitudinal elasticity at least 80GPa and size of 5-20mm long, 5-20mm wide and 0.2-1.5mm thick, depending on the size of used IC chip. The reinforcing fibers are high-strength and high-elastic modulus ones e.g. C fibers, an the matrix is a thermosetting resin such as epoxy resin or thermoplastic resin such as nylon resin. Thus, the IC chip in an IC card hardly peels from a substrate film or malfunctions or is disabled due to a large bending stress.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a good adhesion condition and high adhesive strength by forming vents in one backing to be dispersed and sticking both backings together when the residual amount of an adhesive is in a specified range to the initial amount of a solvent in sticking the first and second backings together with a solvent type adhesive. SOLUTION: A structure 1 is composed of a first backing 2, a second backing 3, and an adhesive layer 4 placed between the first backing 2 and the second backing 3. At least in one of the first backing 2 and the second backing 3, for example, in the first backing 2, vents 5 consisting of through holes are formed to be dispersed appropriately. In this way, after a solvent type adhesive being applied, when both backings 2, 3 are stuck to be bonded together, the solvent in the adhesive is released through the vents 5 to bring about a condition in which no solvent is in the adhesive layer 4 after the completion of adhesion, and before the completion of adhesion, an appropriate solvent is made to remain in the adhesive. After the adhesive being applied, the residual amount of the solvent in the adhesive when the sticking of the backings 2, 3 is started is made 10-20wt.% of the initial amount of the solvent.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the durability of a pallet and improve the handling property by lightening it, by constituting the upper member with the upper face part loading products and constituting the lower member with the bottom face and connecting both members to each other and further forming openings at the side faces. SOLUTION: The upper member 2 and the lower member 3 are joined just like the upper case and the lower case of a lunch box, in a FRP pallet 1. The upper member 2 has a form corresponding to the upper side of a lunch box and also the lower member 3 has a form corresponding to the lower side thereof. The lower member is provided with a plurality of protruded structures 8 to support the upper member 2 and increase the rigidity and withstand a large loading weight. The rear face of the upper member 2 and the upper face of the protruded structures 8 provided in the lower member 3 are integrally joined with an adhesive or a FRP layer. And further, two openings 10 for handlift wheels are made at the bottom face 11 of the lower member 3. And openings 9 for inserting fork lift prongs are provided at the side faces of the upper and lower members 2, 3.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide the subject transmission shaft made of fiber-reinforced resin improved in joint durability, and to provide the subject operation stick consisting of a combination of this transmission shaft with a main pipe. CONSTITUTION: This transmission shaft for bush cutters has such a constitution that the cross-sectional shape of the inner or outer surface at its end to be jointed of a fiber-reinforced resin tubular body 50 constituting this shaft is made polygonal. The transmission shaft is produced by laminating the outer periphery of a mandrel made of soluble linear material with reinforcing fibers and a resin followed by conducting a pultrusion using a mold and then dissolving and removing the mandrel. The cross-sectional shape of the mandrel or the mold to be used is polygonal. The objective operation stick for bush cutters is a combination of this transmission shaft with a main pipe, and the main pipe is made up of a fiber-reinforced resin inner layer formed of carbon fibers crossedly arranged in a helical way, a fiber-reinforced resin intermediate layer formed of carbon fibers arranged axially, and a fiber-reinforced resin outer layer formed of carbon fifers crossedly arranged in a helical way.

A rope 3, penetrating through the cores and stretched in the lengthwise direction of the windmill blade 1, is bound by a thread 5 onto the surface of stiffening plates 4 arranged at both end surfaces of the windmill blade 1 and both binding parts are adhered by resin. The rope 3 is provided with a flexibility, meeting to the centrifugal force due to the rotation and the deflection due to the air force caused by the rotation, as well as a strength capable of withstanding against a scattering force in case the windmill blade is broken.
