Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress landing failure by partial doming of a shadow mask and to prevent deterioration of color purity, by keeping a fixed distance between adjacent electron passing holes in a long axis direction of an effective surface of a shadow mask and by increasing it from an intermediate point to the long axis direction in accordance with an increase of a coordinate position. SOLUTION: An increase of a distance between electron passing holes in a section from an intermediate point to a long axis end is preferably set in accordance with an increase function such as the secondary function. A section with a fixed distance is 60-80% of the section from a center to the long axis end. An increase rate of the distance between the passing holes near the intermediate point is not more than 20% of a difference between a distance between the passing holes at the center of an effective surface 21 and the distance at the long axis end. If a distance between electron passing holes is regulated, curved surface holding strength in a peripheral part of the effective surface 21 can be enhanced without harming landing of an electron beam 17, even if a curvature in the peripheral part of the effective surface where partial doming is likely to occur is made big.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent screen forming method and its aligner which can make a stripe form of non-luminous layer and a phosphor layer at a predetermined positions correctly, and can reduce the contraction of the stripe, without reducing the position accuracy of a light source. SOLUTION: In the fluorescent screen forming method of a color picture tube which prints a stripe form pattern to a photosensitive fluorescent screen forming member layer 40 formed on the inner surface of a panel 1 through the through holes of a shadow mask which has through hole line comprising a plurality of through holes arranged in a linear form through a bridge, the longitudinal direction of a long light source is made coinsident with the longitudinal direction of the through hole line, and an opaque cover 45 having a light penetration window 44 is provided on the long light source, and a stripe form pattern is to be printed to the photosensitive fluorescent screen forming member layer by the light penetrating through the light penetration part, while moving reciprocating the cover 45 in the longitudinal direction of the long light source.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively constitute an elastic support to enhance the characteristic of an image receiving tube without conducting compromising design by welding the elastic support at the tips of inclined parts formed in a locking part and a fixing part, and forming reinforcing parts in the inclined parts of the locking part. SOLUTION: A mask supporting means consists of a stud pin 16 and an elastic support 30 for detachably locking to the pin 16. In the support 30, inclined parts 33a, 33b are formed on each one end side of a fixing part 31 to be fixed to a mask frame 15 and a locking part 32 to be locked to the pin 16, and the tips of the inclined parts 33a, 33b are welded in almost a V shape. Reinforcing parts 34a, 34b are formed by bending part on both sides of the inclined parts 33a, 33b on both sides of the inclined parts 33a, 33b formed in the fixing part 31 and the locking part 32, and the reinforcing part 34b formed in the inclined part 33b on the locking part 32 side is made shorter than the reinforcing part 34a formed in the inclined part 33a on the fixing part 31 side.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the displacement of beam landing due to external impacts by positioning a welding position between a mask body and a mask frame closer to the phosphor screen side than a welding position between the mask frame and an elastic support body. SOLUTION: When a welding position 54 between a shadow mask body 44 and a mask frame 47 is separated from a welding position 55 between the mask frame 47 and an elastic support body 48 toward a phosphor screen 34 side, the distance from the welding position 55 between the mask frame 47 and the elastic support body 48 to an effective surface 42 of a shadow mask 35 becomes longer. Thus even if an external impact causes a locking condition of the elastic support body 48 with respect to a stud pin 49 to change, the displacement of beam landing with respect to a three-color phosphor layer can be restrained, and therefor a color image receiving tube which hardly causes color displacement can be constituted. Welding strength can be stabilized, as compared with the case that a skirt part 43 of the mask body, a sidewall part of the mask frame 47, and fixing part 50 of the elastic support body are piled into three layers and are welded.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color picture tube by disposing reinforcing beads at an effective surface of a shadow mask so as to prevent deterioration of color purity even if curve holding strength is enhanced. SOLUTION: A plurality of projecting or recessed reinforcing beads 36 having the short axis of a shadow mask oriented in a longitudinal direction are provided at an effective surface 32 of a mask body 33 facing a phosphor screen. The width of each of the reinforcing beads 36 is narrowed from the center of the mask body 33 toward the peripheral portion in the direction of the long axis of the shadow mask. It is desirable that the reinforcing bead 36 should be formed in a length of 50% or more of the interval between long sides of the effective surface of the mask body 33 astride the long axis of the shadow mask.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color picture tube in which a curvature of an effective surface of a shadow mask and an electron beam passing hole array are set appropriately, so as to reduce deformation of the shadow mask or deviation of beam landing due to resonance, and simultaneously, alleviate deterioration of the quality of a phosphor screen. SOLUTION: The outer surface of an effective portion 1 of a panel 3 is formed in such a manner as to become flat or have slight curvature. In this case, a shadow mask 33 is configured such that the arrangement interval of an electron beam passing hole array in the vicinity of a long side of an effective surface 30 is greater than that at the center of the effective surface in the vicinity of a short axis, it gradually becomes smaller farther apart from the short axis, thereafter it becomes larger, and finally, becomes equal to or larger than the arrangement interval in the vicinity of the short axis in the vicinity of a short side of the effective surface.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the visibility of a color picture tube equipped with a panel whose outside surface is almost flat and also improve the curved-surface retaining strength of a shadow mask. SOLUTION: This color picture tube is provided with a panel in which the outside surface of its substantially rectangular effective part is flat or has a slight curvature, and a shadow mask of which effective surface faces to the inside surface of the effective part of the panel. In this case, the inside surface of the effective part of the panel is formed into a curved surface having a generally infinite radius of curvature RXp1 in the major axis direction approximately at its center on the major axis, a predetermined radius of curvature RXp2 in the major axis direction around the periphery of the major axis and a predetermined radius of curvature in the minor axis direction on the minor axis.

SOLUTION: An outer face 21 of an effective region 10 is formed nearly into a plane, an inner face 22 is formed into a curved face expressed by a higher-order polynomial, and the peripheral section is dropped against the central section and the thickness is made thicker toward the peripheral section from the central section, as shown by a B-B line cross section (cross section on the minor axis) and a C-C line cross section (cross section on the major axis). The quantities dropped at the effective diameter ends of individual axes are equal, and the inner faces of the effective diameter ends (the inner faces of the peripheral section of the effective region 10) are fhsh with as shown by a D-D line cross section (cross section at the effective diameter ends (short side) parallel with the minor axis) and an E-E line cross section (cross section at the effective diameter ends (long side) in parallel with the major axis).
