    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the heating even by the operation with the high horizontal deflection frequency and improve the winding precision by bundling in parallel multiple conductor fine wires having the first deposition layer made of thermoplastic insulating material and the second deposition layer made of thermoplastic insulating material with a lower melting point to constitute the conductor wire of an deflecting coil. CONSTITUTION:Multiple fine wires 2 are merely bundled without being twisted, they are heated so that only the second deposition layer 5b made of the fine wires 2 with a lower melting point is melted. They are then cooled, the fine wires 2 are temporarily fixed together to form a unit conductor wire. This unit conductor wire 1 is wound on a deflecting coil former and molded. In this case, it is precisely wound without being untangled because the fine wires 2 are temporarily fixed together. Each unit conductor wire 1 can be wound at high density because the fine wires 2 are twisted together. After the unit conductor wire 1 is wound and molded, the first deposition layer 5a is heated and melted and cooled, thereby the unit conductor wire 1 is fixed together to form a deflecting coil.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the positional deviation of an oblong shadow mask, by flattening the corners of a frame for supporting the shadow mask, and by securing one portion of an elastic bracket to each flattened corner of the frame, and fitting another portion of the bracket on a stud. CONSTITUTION:A shadow mask 6, which is disposed near the fluorescent faceplate of a color picture tube, is attached by welding or the like to a frame 7 having flat corners 71 substantially parallel with the axis of the tube. An elastic bracket 8, which is made of such a material of high elasticity modulus as the SUS 631 and has a U-like form and a secured portion 81 and engaged portion 82 having an engaging hole 80. The portion 81 of the bracket 8 is welded on each flat corner 71 of the frame 7. A stud secured to the corner of the inside of a panel is fitted in the engaging hole 80 to suspensively support the frame 7 in a prescribed position. According to this constitution, the elastic bracket 8 is made simple, and the positional deviation of the shadow mask 6 due to the repetition of attachment and detachment is suppressed.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To restrain the occurrence of rust for reducing a phosphor screen defect, and improve breakdown voltage characteristics of a color cathode-ray tube by electrically connecting a metal member having higher ionization tendency than iron to a support seat made of soft steel material. CONSTITUTION:A support seat 30 for positioning and supporting a panel 1 mainly comprises a soft steel material (iron material) as a base material, and the required section thereof is applied with paint. A part of the seat 30 is not applied with the paint, and the base material is exposed. Also, the lower side of the seat 30 is fitted with a metal block 36 (zinc block) mainly comprising zinc having higher ionization tendency than iron constituting the base material. In this case, when the block 36 having higher ionization tendency than iron as the constituent element of the seat 30 is electrically connected to the seat 30, the block 36 corrodes faster than the seat 30. Also, electrons generated at the time of the appearance of cation are supplied to the iron constituting the seat 30. As a result, the occurrence of rust on the seat 30 is restrained, thereby reducing a phosphor screen defect. At the same time, the breakdown voltage characteristics of a cathode-ray tube can be improved.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent mis-landing due to repulsion among electron beams by setting horizontal overlap among three electron beams to be a half of a radius of an electron beam in the horizontal directly or below to cause a different delay among the three electron beams. CONSTITUTION:An electron gun 6 is of in-line type and consists of a B electron gun 16, a G electron gun 17, and an R electron gun 18. Then a delay time 27 is given to the B electron gun 16 and a delay time gamma is set to the G electron gun 17 with respect to the R electron gun 18 as a reference, where gamma is a half of the radius of an electron beam on a panel in the horizontal direction. The three electron beams are subject to deflection scanning by a deflection yoke 7 mounted to the outside of a funnel 4. Thus, the three electron beams are not overlapped at the same time and then an orbit portion causing repulsion among the electron beams close to each other is remarkably reduced and a picture with excellent color purity is obtained even at a high brightness.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a color picture tube generating no color drift on a screen by exposing an exposed layer with the displacement of a shadow mask against a panel by the preset quantity in the downward direction when the color picture tube is operated with its tube axis kept horizontal. CONSTITUTION:A displacing means 40 is provided on an exposing device, and a photosensitive film 18 and a phosphor slurry layer formed on the inner face of a panel 1 are baked via a shadow mask 6. The shadow mask 6 is forcibly displaced by the preset quantity in the downward direction of the panel side 44a when a color picture tube is operated with its tube axis kept horizontal for exposure, thus a phosphor screen is formed. When the tube axis is made vertical (panel is made horizontal), the matching relationship between three-color phosphor dots of the phosphor screen and the shadow mask is drifted, but when the picture tube is incorporated in a television set with the tube axis kept horizontal, the positional relationship between the three-color phosphor dots of the phosphor screen and the shadow mask becomes the same state as that when the photosensitive film 18 and the phosphor screen slurry layer are baked, and a picture tube generating no color drift is obtained.

And the said member 13 has a hole 13b freely attachable for pressing or fitting to the side wall of the stud pin 10 when contacted to the said pin 10, and the attaching portion 12c extended from the connecting portion 12b has an aperture 12d large enough not to contact to the stud pin 10. The locking member 13 is fixed to the attaching portion 12c by welding, and the thickness of the screen 4 side portion 13a of the locking member 13 is made thinner gradually toward the screen. therefore the mask frame can be easily attached and detached to and from the panel without damaging the stud pin.
