    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce moire pattern appearing on a color picture tube. CONSTITUTION:Each of the electron beam transmission holes 11 of a shadow mask 10 is a substantially rectangular shape and separated from each other by a first bridge 12 with its width of 0.120-0.150mm and a second bridge with its width of 0.050-0.090mm narrower than that of the first bridge. In the area defined by the bridge 12, there are three electron beam transmission holes 11 to form an electron beam transmission hole group 14. The electron beam transmission hole groups 14 are so arranged as forming a transmission hole row 15. In which large number of holes are aligned at vertical direction intervals of about 1.15mm or a pitch PGV with their longitudinal directions parallel to the vertical axis, while these transmission hole rows 15 are arranged in a large number is horizontal direction at a horizontal pitch PH of about 0.8-0.9mm. The electron beam transmission hole groups 14 are staggered by 1/2PGV between adjacent transmission hole rows.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To absorb the positional error of stud pins in manufacture by providing guide means limiting the relative movement elastic supporters to one direction on multiple elastic supporters except one. CONSTITUTION:When a shadow mask 7 is to be assembled into a panel 3, coupling members 216 corresponding to the second and third elastic supporters 21b, 21c and a coupling member 206 corresponding to the fourth elastic supporter 21d are merely brought into contact with respective elastic supporters 21b, 21c, 21d. The movement of the supporters 21b, 21c, 21d against the members 216, 206 coupled with the stud pins 30b, 30c, 30d is limited only to the direction parallel with the plane formed by the pins 30a, 30b, 30c by guide means. The supporters 21b, 21c, 21d are moved to positions where spring pressures of the supporters 21a, 21b, 21c, 21d are balanced in the direction parallel with the plane formed by the pins 30a, 30b, 30c and stopped. Coupling sections 213, 203 and coupling members 216, 206 of the supporters 21b, 21c, 21d are welded and fixed. The twisting of the supporters 21 can be prevented.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make a purity drift not produced for hours even in case of using a shadow mask small in a coefficient of thermal expansion and an iron mask frame by using a specific support member. CONSTITUTION:A support member 30, having a top part, is formed into V-shaped or U-shaped form in a section in the direction of a tube shaft 17, and it consists of a first member 32 extending toward a stand pin 22 from the top part with a certain angle to the tube shaft 17 and a second member 33 extending toward a shadow mask 18 from the top part with a certain angle to the tube shaft 17. Accordingly, even if a mask frame 19 is spread in the peripheral direction by thermal expansion, it is in no case shifted toward a phosphor screen. Otherwise, the travel is possible to be set to the desired small value. In this manner, the mask frame 19 is supported at four corners, and in case of a color picture tube where a coefficient of thermal expansion in the shadow mask 18 is small as compared with the mask frame 19, a purity drift for long hours is improvable.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To sufficiently correct the purity drift for a long time by forming a spring member hooking a mask frame to a panel into a specific shape. CONSTITUTION:Component positions before the operation is started are shown by broken lines, and they are changed to positions shown by solid lines as the temperature rises. As the inside temperature rises, a shadow mask 12 and a frame 13 are expanded in the peripheral direction, and a spring member 24 is pressed and deformed. At this time, since a connecting section 22 has a shape bent to the electron gun side, it is hardly curved to the screen side. Therefore, it can effectively push up the frame 13 to the screen side. Accordingly, the essential inclination of the connecting section 22 against a fixed section 21 (the angle between the fixed section and a plane passing two boundary sections 31, 32 of the connecting section, fixed section, and a hooking section) is not required to be increased, and the purity drift can be completely corrected for a long time, with deterioration of detachability and fatigue of spring property or the like not occurring.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To suppress the deterioration of color purity and improve the withstand voltage and life characteristic by providing a porous ceramic layer containing silicon and zirconium metallic oxides on an inner magnetic shielding body. CONSTITUTION:A porous ceramic layer is provided on the surface of an inner magnetic shielding body 11 arranged so as to encircle an electron beam passing region between an electron gun 6 and a fluorescent screen 4 illuminated by an electron beam emitted from the electron gun 6. That is, the porous ceramic layer formed on the surface of the inner magnetic shielding body 11 has a specific surface area about 50 times that of the inner magnetic shielding body 11, and its heat absorbing ratio is good, thus the temperature rise of a shadow mask is largely suppressed, and the unstable gas in the tube can be absorbed effectively. Accordingly, the purity drift characteristic is improved and the emission life characteristic is also improved.

Thereby, the screen 4 side end section 13a of a hooking member 13 is separated from the boundary 12e between the coupling section 13c of the holder 12 and the connecting section 12b. Accordingly, work is facilitated even when the holder 12 is bent and a shadow mask 5 is fitted or removed in a panel 1.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To suppress the generation of Moire fringes in a state that sufficient luminance remains held by scanning an electronic beam at a speed of two folds of an image sending side, when a television image is received, and shifting a position of a scanning line of a first field and a scanning line of a second field by 1/2 of a scanning line interval of each field. CONSTITUTION:A first field and a second field are constituted of 262.5 pieces of scanning lines, respectively, and they are scanned without being superposed to each other, and as a result, the total number of scanning lines becomes 525 pieces. Scanning of 525 pieces is executed during 1/60 second in which a first field is sent, and scanning of 525 pieces is executed by shifting it a little during the next 1/60 second in which a second field is sent. As a result, the total number of scanning lines becomes 1050 pieces of two folds. Scanning of two folds of an image sending side is executed by each field, and as for an image signal corresponding thereto, it is allowable to apply the same signal to two pieces of continuous scanning lines, and also, it is allowable to apply it by synthesizing it with a signal of a field before one or more by using an image memory device.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a high grade color image receiving tube which sufficiently shields magnetic field due to earth magnetism and has good landing grade in a very large color image receiving tube. CONSTITUTION:Particles of magnetic substance with high magnetic permeability are contained in a light absorbing black substance layer 13. Therefore an effect for shielding magnetic field in a tube axis direction which has not been able to be avoided in a structure of a color image receiving tube can be improved. Since the light absorbing black substance layer 13 contains highly magnetic permeable magnetic substances, magnetic resistance is reduced so that magnetic field flows into the light absorbing black substance layer 13 thereby preventing unnecessary magnetic field from entering an electron beam transmission region. The magnetic field which flowed into the light absorbing black substance layer 13 si quickly discharged out of the color image receiving tube so that an electron beam orbit may not be subjected to the influence of the magnetic field. Thus unnecessary magnetic field which influences electron beam is reduced and good image grade can be obtained.

Thereby, line-up of bridges 4 between neighboring light-transmitting hole files is completely prevented and the arrangement of light-transmitting holes 2 all over the shadow mask is made irregular.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce shift of the electron beam landing due to external magnetic field by furnishing a magnetic resistance part between a mask frame and the body of a shadow mask mating with the neighborhood of the rectangular panel corners. CONSTITUTION:A gap 35 is furnished between a mask frame 32 and a mask body 31 inside the same and allowed to maximize at the diagonal end part, and the mask body 31 is supported through a magnetic resistance member 36 arranged at this diagonal end part. According to this constitution the external magnetic field in the tube axial direction collected by an internal magnetism shelter 7 and/or the mask frame 32 will scarcely be transmitted to the mask body 31 in the part of panel 10 mating with the neighborhood of the corner, but be radiated in the direction of a fluorescent screen 11 from the screen end of the mask frame 32, and the magnetic field intensity of the mask body 31 with the fluorescent screen 11 can be made substantially uniform at the ends of horizontal axis, at the ends of vertical axis, and at diagonal end parts.
