Abstract: The driving system comprises: a first support structure; a second support structure supported by the first support structure for rotation about a stationary axis of rotation; a first actuation unit having a first motor device and a first output member; and a second actuation unit having a second motor device and a second output member. The first output member is drivingly connected with the second support structure for rotation about the first axis of rotation. The first motor device controls the rotation of the first output member, along with the second support structure, about the first axis of rotation. The second output member is supported by the second support structure for rotation about a second axis of rotation. The second motor device controls the rotation of the second output member about the second axis of rotation.

Abstract: A chest compressor includes a piston (14) that moves in downward and upward strokes within a cylinder (12), with the piston undergoing a smooth reversal at the bottom of the downward stroke. A compression spring, such as a wave spring (60), is positioned to engage the piston only near the end of its downward stroke, to smoothly reverse the piston motion, limit downward force on the patient at the end of the stroke, and avoid a downward pulse due to the momentum of the downwardly-moving piston. A stop (90, 92) is latchable in an inward position to allow reduction in the piston stroke by engaging an outward flange (52) on the piston before the piston has moved fully downward. In one embodiment the piston (14) is made as an outer piston part (40) and an inner piston part (42) that telescope in one another in which the outer piston part is slidably engaged with and guided by the cylinder along a path and the inner piston part is slidably engaged with and guided by the outer piston part and the spring (60) engages the inner piston part near the end of its downward stroke, to smoothly reverse the piston motion, limit downward force on the patient at the end of the stroke, and avoid a downward pulse due to the momentum of the downwardly-moving piston.

The first trolley includes a patient attachment mechanism configured to support a first patient. The first trolley is configured to move relative to the support track. The second trolley includes a patient attachment mechanism configured to support a second patient. The second trolley is configured to move relative to the support track such that the movement of the second trolley is independent of the movement of the first trolley. A collision management assembly is configured to be coupled to one of the first trolley and the second trolley. The collision management assembly includes a bumper that is configured to prevent the first trolley from directly contacting the second trolley.

Abstract: As a method for achieving the objective of the present invention, provided is a neck exercise support for neck exercise formed in the upper part of a chair, the neck exercise support comprising: a contact plate which is to be in contact with the head; a central hole which forms an empty space in the center of the contact plate; a first insert hole which transversely penetrates the interior of the contact plate; a contact plate support which is configured so as to support the contact plate; a second insert hole which is transversely formed in the center of the contact plate support to correspond to the first insert hole of the contact plate; a coupling part which penetrates the first insert hole and the second insert hole; a contact plate support through-hole which is formed in the vertical direction with respect to the second insert hole; and a pair of first coupling rods which are coupled with the contact plate support through-hole; wherein the contact plate is coupled with the contact plate support via the coupling part, and the contact plate support coupled with the coupling part is connected through the first coupling rods.

Abstract: Manual CPR apparatus allowing the application of force at two points separated by a line making a nonperpendicular angle relative to the longitudinal axis of the patient. The line separating the two force points may also lie out of the plane formed by the device's belt which circumnavigates the patient's torso. These geometrical configurations allow the facile application of the CPR force to the device by one or more operators located along the side of the patient. The device may have the capability to limit the achieved circular chest compression to one of a plurality of magnitudes. The device may also provide signals to indicate the appropriate times for applying pressure and may incorporate electrocardiogram and defibrillation components. The device may contact the patient's chest with a suction cup or other adhering component to assist in the patient's chest expanding in the interval between compressive strokes.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a deep pressure therapy system. The system includes an inflatable component and a shell component. The inflatable component can be removably attached to the shell component to form a wearable assembly. The inflatable component is shaped to conform to a portion of a body of an individual, and includes an inflatable bladder having an inlet port and an outlet port for passage of a fluid. The bladder includes a plurality of depressions which are generally evenly-distributed over a portion of the bladder. In some embodiments, the depressions are circular welds. In some embodiments, the depressions are three-dimensional welds. The bladder may additionally include weld strips. The shell component may include one or more stretchable strips which are expandable as safety feature.

Abstract: A wearable action-assist device includes a biosignal detection unit detecting a biosignal from a wearer, an action-assist wearing tool having a drive source supplying a torque acting on the wearer around each joint of the wearer as an axis of rotation, a control unit controlling the drive source to generate the torque according to the detected biosignal, a drive torque estimation unit estimating a drive torque generated by the drive source, a joint-angle detecting unit detecting an angular displacement of the joint, and a parameter identification unit identifying kinetics parameters concerned by substituting the estimated drive torque and the detected angular displacement into an equation of motion of an entire system including kinetics parameters intrinsic to the wearer.
