Abstract:
The invention relates to a support/transfer wheel system (3) intended for use in a guide rail (2) mounted above a balcony glass cover or a like transferable element (1). The wheel system (3) includes a supporting wheel (4), which is journalled to be pivotable around a vertical axle (7) mounted on the upper edge of the element (1) and intended to bear against the guide rail (2), and at least one guiding wheel (5) journalled to be pivotable around the vertical axle (7). The vertical axle (7) is provided with a bearing bush (6), around which the supporting wheel (4) rotates in a journalled fashion. Inside the bearing bush (6) is provided a lengthwise, upwards opening space (8) which is fitted with a longitudinally movable lifting stud (10), which is bringable to a position protruding from the bearing bush (6).
Abstract:
This sliding panel, which slides between two opposite and parallel rails, includes a frame (2) comprising two posts (31, 32) and two cross-pieces (41, 42) joined at right-angles by means of four corner brackets (51 to 54) each having at least two perpendicular sides for attachment to a post (31, 32) and to a cross-piece (41, 42), wherein at least each of the two lower corner brackets (53, 54) includes a means (10) adapted to roll on a rail (76). The frame is fitted with a panel (12) filling the frame opening. Each lower corner bracket (53, 54), provided with a roller means, includes: a housing (13) shaped as a parallelepiped box opened at the front and downwards, and defined by a base (61) and three sides (7, 8 and 9); a sliding member (14) bearing the roller means (10), having a shorter length than the housing in which it is slidingly mounted and removable through the housing opening (6); and a strut (15) for adjusting the spacing between the housing (13) and the sliding member (14), and located between them.
Abstract:
Rotary locks used on transit vehicle doors (2) when opened and closed by a rotating helical door drive member (40). In a preferred embodiment, a first lock utilizes a negative thread portion (51) of the helical drive (40). A second lock utilizes a rotating lock pawl (22) and stop (23). The drive (40) and lock can be used to operate door systems with and without separate door hangers. Compensation for camber variations in car structure is provided through the use of spherical mounts or drive member journals (35, 38).
Abstract:
For use with a closure assembly a pivot shoe, the closure assembly having a closure member and a peripheral frame having disposed therewith a track or rail within which the closure member is movable. When the closure member is in a first position parallel to the track a first operating means is operable to engage at least a third detent of the shoe with at least a first engaging portion of the track or rail thus securing the shoe and the closure member in the track or rail, whereat when the closure member is moved past a predetermined angle a second operating means of the shoe is operated to engage at least a fourth detent of the shoe with at least a second engaging portion of the track.
