Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus for obtaining an image is provided to pick up the image of a target object easily and efficiently by solving a focus problem and a moire phenomenon generated when the image is picked up at a sloped visual field angle. CONSTITUTION: An optical path variation unit(50) is installed between a solid state pick-up device(40) and a focus lens(36). The optical path variation unit varies the length of the path of a light which is incident from a target object when an image is picked up at a sloped viewing angle. The solid state pick-up device is comprised of a CCD(Charge Coupled Device). The optical path variation unit is comprised of a prism.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for recognizing a mount of components is provided to clearly distinguish a mounted condition by using an image obtained by a back ground and components. CONSTITUTION: A vertical illumination(200) is emitted to components. An image signal is obtained by increasing brightness of the light incident on a CCD camera(100). A mounted condition of the components is confirmed by using the image signal. In the event that a PCB color(500) of a background and the components(400) are clearly different, the vertical illumination(200) is sufficient to confirm the mounted condition of the components. However, if the PCB color of the background and the components are similar, the image signal obtained by the CCD camera is not sufficient to certainly confirm the mounted condition of the components since there is nearly no difference in the brightness incident on the CCD camera(100) only with the vertical illumination(200). An auxiliary illumination emits a light on the components. A right portion of the components becomes dark because of a shade and other portions than the right portion become bright. The dark portion and bright portion are inputted to the CCD camera(100) to obtain another image signal.
