PURPOSE: A device for offering a high quality video of a video call by supporting multiple video formats in a mobile communication terminal and a method thereof are provided to use the video format which is appropriate in screen resolution of a video call terminal by exchanging video format information capable of supporting in the mobile communication terminal through a protocol message. CONSTITUTION: After encoding of video data of a camera(210), a video codec(212) offers the video data to a control unit(202). After decoding of the video data of the control unit, the video codec outputs the video data through a display unit(208) and a speaker(216). An audio codec(214) converts digital data of the control unit into a analog voice signal. The audio codec converts a voice signal through a microphone(218) into digital data.
Abstract:
A timer and a counter setting-up apparatus and a method thereof in a mobile communications system for shortening a time for processing a protocol signaling element in a video call are provided to improve the connection success ratio of video call connection by applying a timer and a dynamic counter based on a round time delay. A calling terminal and a receiving terminal start a signaling procedure clarified in a protocol for a VT(Video Telephony)(310). A timer and a counter value are renewed by measuring RSS(Radio Signaling Strength) and RTD(Round Trip Delay)(315). The signaling message switching procedure is completed based on the updated timer and counter value. The level of the terminal is determined in a mobile level detection process. A master/slave terminal is determined in a master/slave determination process.

An apparatus and a method for connecting a video call in a mobile communication system are provided to previously register profile information of a video call terminal in a server in order to quickly connect a video call by using the registered profile information without a protocol negotiation. When a subscriber authentication module is inserted, a controller(300) requests registration of subscription information and video call profile information from a server, and when a video call event occurs, the controller(300) requests transmission of profile information of a destination terminal from a destination side server and connects a video call to the destination terminal by using supportable profile information of received profile information. A communication module(304) transmits and receives signals to and from the server. An H.245 message controller(302) processes and controls an H.245 message transmitted to or received from the server to connect the video call. A storage unit(306) stores information of the destination terminal which has performed the video call.

A method for a video call in a mobile communication terminal and a device are provided to process various signaling information exchanges with video telephony profile data after a video call is set in the terminal, thereby supporting fast video call connection. Video call connection is started after a call for a video call is set(500). It is confirmed whether video telephony profile information on the other party is registered(502). If so, video telephony profile data is selected(504), and the video telephony profile information is generated as signaling data(506). A video telephony profile message is transmitted to the other party's terminal to attempt connection(508). If the other party's terminal approves of the connection through a profile message(510), the video call is started(512).
Abstract:
A video information display method of a mobile communication terminal capable of conducting a video call and a device thereof are provided to enable a sending side to distinguish real-time video information from edited or prestored video information to send the distinguished information during a video call, thus a receiving side can know whether the video information is about the real-time video. A contents storage(105) stores contents generated from a terminal(100) or sent through a communication network. A video information collector(110) collects peripheral video information. The first temporary storage(115) temporarily stores video information to be transmitted to the other party when the terminal(100) is in busy state. A controller(135) stores one piece of particular video information read from the storage(105) and real-time video information collected through the collector(110), in the first temporary storage(115). A transmission data generator(120) adds an indicator to the particular video information if the particular video information is stored in the storage(115). A transmitter(125) transmits transmission data.

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing MOS(Metal Oxide Semiconductor) transistor with ESD(Elevated Source/Drain) is provided to improve hot carrier effect and short channel effect, and to reduce a photo lithography process by implanting ions for a source and a drain at a same time. CONSTITUTION: A device isolation area(52) is formed on a semiconductor substrate(50) by a shallow trench isolation process. A first nitride layer(54) and an oxidation is laminated on the isolation layer(52). An opening area(56a) is made by etching the oxidation layer(56), the first nitride layer(54), and the substrate(50). A second nitride layer is doped, and through etchback process, a first nitride spacer(58) is build on the side of opening area(56a). Impurity ions are implanted in the substrate. After removing the first nitride spacer(58), a second nitride spacer(62) is created on the side of opening area(56a). Including the opening area(56a), a conduction layer(64) is vapored on the oxidation layer(56). Until exposing the top of the second nitride spacer(62), the conduction layer(64) is etched. The oxidation layer(56) is etched using the second nitride spacer(62) and the conduction layer(64) as etching masks. For making source and drain area(66), ion implantation method is executed. After being doped a third nitride layer(67), a spacer(68) is build on the side of the second nitride spacer(62).
