Abstract: PURPOSE: An anti-obesity composition containing Diosorea tokora makino extract using water is provided to lower triglyceride, LDL-cholesterol, and total cholesterol in blood. CONSTITUTION: An anti-obesity comosition contains Diosorea tokora makino extract as an effective ingredient. The Diosorea tokora makino extract is obtained by adding water to Diosorea tokora makino, heating 5-100°C for 15 minutes to 12 hours, centrifuging at 2,000-3,000 rpm for 10 to 20 minutes, extracting for 30 minutes to three hours, and decompress-drying the extract to obtain powder.

Abstract: 본 발명은 세신(細辛,
Radix
Asari ) 추출물을 포함하는 항당뇨 조성물에 관한 것으로, 본 발명의 세신 추출물은 싸이토카인 (IL-1β 및 IFN-γ)에 의한 췌장 β-세포주인 RINm5F 세포 독성을 억제하였다. 이와 같은 세포 보호 효과는 래트로부터 분리한 islets에서 인슐린 분비능을 유지함을 통해 확인하였다.
구체적인 반응기전을 살펴보면 세신 추출물은 싸이토카인에 의한 NF-κB 활성의 증가를 유의하게 억제하였으며, 이는 IκBα의 분해 억제에 기인하였다. 싸이토카인에 의한 NF-κB 활성 억제는 NF-κB 타겟 유전자인 iNOS 유전자 발현을 억제하여 대사 산물인 산화질소 (nitric oxide) 생성 감소를 통해 세포를 보호하는 것으로 증명되었다. 이상의 실험 결과로 세신 추출물을 제1형 당뇨병 예방 및 치료제로서 사용가능한 것이다.

Abstract: A therapeutic agent for antidiabetes is provided to effectively prevent and treat type I diabetes and suppress the damage of islet after pancreas surgery. A therapeutic agent for treating a type I diabetes comprises a Fructus xanthii extract. The therapeutic agent for suppressing the damage of islet after pancreas surgery or pancreatic duct transplantation surgery comprises the Fructus xanthii extract. The Fructus xanthii extract contains Fructus xanthii and water in a weight ratio of 1:3-9, and is obtained by extracting at 5-100‹C for 15 minutes - 48 hours. A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating antidiabetes comprises 0.1-99 weight% of Fructus xanthii, carrier, excipient, and diluents. The composition is formulated in a type of power, tablet, capsule, suspension, syrup, oral formulation selected from pill or aerosol, suppository, or the sterilization injection agent.

Abstract: A composition for preventing and treating obesity, which contains a N-acetylcysteine (NAC) and taurine is provided to suppress the differentiation of pre-adipocyte and adipocyte and efficiently protect the increase of adipocyte. A composition for preventing and treating obesity comprises 35-100 weight part of N-acetylcysteine and 20-50 weight part of taurine as active ingredients. The composition further comprises a pharmaceutically suitable and physiologically allowable adjuvant. The adjuvant is a solubilizing agent of solvent, disintegrant, sweetener, binder, coating flux, expander, lubricant, lubricant or flavoring agent. The composition additionally contains pharmaceutically allowable carrier.
