    Abstract: PURPOSE: An error processing method of a bar code positioning system is provided to precisely control the speed and the location of a magnetic levitation vehicle by easily processing the error at junction between bar code tapes. CONSTITUTION: A bar code positioning system comprises a bar code reader(28) and a bar code tape(26). A bar code reader is installed in a chassis structure of a vehicle. A bar code tape is attached along a guide rail(10). When the bar code reader deciphers the bar code tape, an error is generated in junction between the bar code tapes. When an error is generated when a vehicle is driven at a constant speed, a current location value is not used. When an error is generated when a vehicle is accelerated or decelerated, the current location value is calculated by adding moving distance and the final location value.
