Abstract: The present invention relates to a multifunctional vehicle monitoring system having a plurality of functions such as recognizing driver behaviors and the state of vehicle by processing and analyzing photographed image. The vehicle monitoring system of the present invention comprises: a loop sensor unit for producing sensing signals corresponding to the movement of a targeted vehicle when the movement of the targeted vehicle is sensed; an image photographing unit for producing image signals by photographing the targeted vehicle using an image photographing device based on the received photographing signals; a control unit for transmitting photographing signals to take photo of the targeted vehicle to the image photographing unit when the sensing signal is received from the loop sensor unit, transmitting the image signal received from the image photographing unit and transmitting the received analysis data; and an image sensing unit for analyzing the image signal received from the control unit and producing analysis data including information on driver behavior recognition, the state of vehicle and vehicle identification to the control unit.
