Abstract: PURPOSE: An exterior airbag module for a car and a back beam for installing the same are provided to prevent the damage of an airbag cushion because high temperature heat generated in the explosion of an inflator is not transferred to the airbag cushion positioned near the inflator. CONSTITUTION: An exterior airbag module(10) for a car comprises an inflator(11) and an airbag cushion(12). The inflator is fixed in a back beam(20) in a state of being received in the back beam at the front side of the back beam. Abstract: PURPOSE: An occupant classification system for a vehicle is provided to reduce a classification error by enlarging a gray zone corresponding to the gap between weight ranges of infant less than 1 year old and adult. CONSTITUTION: An occupant classification system for a vehicle comprises a detector(50) and a controller(70). The detector detects the current variation generated by an occupant. The controller decides the seated state and type of the occupant using the current value and transmits the decision result to an ACU(Airbag Control Unit). The detector comprises a sensing part(10), an ammeter(20), and a switching circuit(40). An insulator of the sensing part is located between a sensing conductor(11) and a guard conductor(12). The ammeter measures the current amount from the sensing part. The switching circuit to which AC(Alternating Current) power source(30) is provided forms one or more closed loops by connecting the sensing part and the ammeter.

Abstract: An apparatus for delaying inflation of an airbag for a passenger seat is provided to reduce an impact due to inflation of an airbag by allowing initial expansion force of an airbag cushion to be consumed to break a capsule. An apparatus for delaying inflation of an airbag for a passenger seat comprises a winding shaft(21) and a support bracket(22). A rear end portion of a tether of an airbag cushion is partially wound around the winding shaft. The support bracket supports both ends of the winding shaft so that the winding shaft rotates, and is fixed to the bottom of an airbag housing. A capsule(25) connects the winding shaft with the support bracket and is broken due to inflation of the tether when an airbag is initially inflated. A horizontal part of the support bracket is fixed to the bottom of the airbag housing. A winding shaft support hole(22a) is formed in a vertical part of the support bracket and allows an end of the winding shaft to be inserted thereto. Flanges(21a) having a disk shape and capsule insertion holes(21b) are formed at both sides of the winding shaft.
