    Abstract: Substituted 1,8-naphthyridines of the general formula I in which the substituents have the following meaning: R denotes amino, substituted NR R , in which R denotes C1-C12-alkyl, C3-C6-alkenyl, C3-C8-cycloalkyl, substituted or unsubstituted phenyl or phenyl-(C1-C3)-alkyl or a group in which A represents C1-C8-alkyl, substituted or unsubstituted phenyl, amino, alkyl- or dialkylamino each having 1 to 6 C atoms per alkyl radical, phenylamino, morpholino or piperidyl, and R denotes hydrogen, C1-C12-alkyl, C3-C8-cycloalkyl or R and R are linked together to form a saturated or unsaturated 5- or 6-membered heterocycle, which may contain a further heteroatom such as oxygen or nitrogen; or denote hydroxyl, mercapto, halogen or XR , in which X denotes oxygen or sulphur and R represents C1-C12-alkyl, C1-C4-alkoxycarbonyl-(C1-C4)-alkyl, C5-C8-cycloalkyl, substituted or unsubstituted phenyl or phenyl-(C1-C3)-alkyl, R denotes hydrogen, C1-C12-alkyl, C3-C8-cycloalkyl, substituted or unsubstituted R denotes phenyl [sic] or phenyl-(C1-C3-)-alkyl, hydroxyl, halogen, mercapto, C1-C4-alkoxy, C1-C4-alkylthio, amino, mono- or dialkylamino having 1 to 6 C atoms per alkyl radical, substituted or unsubstituted phenoxy or phenylthio, halogen-(C1-C3)-alkyl, C1-C4-alkoxy(C1-C3)-alkyl, C1-C4-alkylthio-(C1-C3)-alkyl, amino-(C1-C3)-alkyl, C1-C4-acyloxy, substituted or unsubstituted hydrazino, cyano and thiocyanato, R denotes hydrogen, C1-C12-alkyl, C3-C8-cycloalkyl, substituted or unsubstituted phenyl or phenyl-(C1-C3)-alkyl, halogen, halogen-(C1-C3)-alkyl, C1-C4-alkoxy-(C1-C3)-alkyl, C1-C4-alkylthio- (C1-C3)-alkyl, amino-(C1-C3)-alkyl, carboxyl, C1-C4-alkoxycarbonyl, non-phytotoxic salts thereof and processes for their preparation and their use as antidotes.
