    Abstract: The invention relates to a process and a separation system for removing particles, in particular soot particles, from particle-containing process gas streams occurring in chemical or petrochemical plants. According to the invention, the particle removal is carried out in a partly thermally regenerable separation system. The particles are advantageously removed from the gas stream in a two-stage separation system, the first stage being composed of centrifugal separators, preferably multicyclones, and the second stage being composed of fine filters made of sintered metals, preferably of ferritic sintered metals. For the regeneration, the temperature is increased to a value above the ignition temperature of soot and, if required, an oxygen-containing auxiliary gas is added. The regeneration is preferably carried out periodically.

    Abstract: A process for recycling plastics in a steam cracker, for example a blow moulded fraction composed of bottles, containers, etc., including possible soiling, sticky label materials, fillers, residual contents, etc., wherein - the comminuted, dry plastic waste is stored in a storage container, - the plastic waste is metered by means of a conveyor into a stirred container equipped with a heating jacket, - the plastic waste is melted at about 300-350 DEG C in the stirred container, - the melt is fed into a steam cracker, where the polymers are converted at about 400-450 DEG C into products (feed materials) which can be vaporised and cracked in a conventional way in the steam cracker, - the above products are separated by means of a 1st column installed directly downstream of the steam cracker into - a bottom product obtained at about 330-380 DEG C which, after removal of the residues and solids, is on the one hand returned directly to the steam cracker and on the other hand is fed as heating medium through the stirred container and through the heating jacket of the stirred container and returned to the steam cracker, and - a top product obtained at about 240 DEG C which, after partial condensation, is fed into a 2nd column at about 110 DEG C, - the liquid/gas mixture obtained after the partial condensation is separated by means of the above 2nd column into - a ... at the bottom of the 2nd column ...
