Abstract: Un proceso para la preparación de un material zeolítico que contiene titanio que tiene una estructura de entramado MWW que comprende (i) proporcionar un material zeolítico que tiene una estructura de entramado MWW que comprende SiO2 y B2O3, en el que la relación molar de B2O3:SiO2 es a lo sumo de 0,02:1 y en el que al menos el 99% en peso de la estructura de entramado MWW consiste en B2O3 y SiO2; (ii) incorporar titanio en el material zeolítico proporcionado en (i) que comprende (ii.1) preparar una mezcla de síntesis acuosa que contiene el material zeolítico proporcionado en (i), un compuesto de plantilla MWW y una fuente de titanio, en el que la relación molar del compuesto de plantilla MWW con relación al Si, calculada como SiO2 y contenida en el material zeolítico proporcionado en (i), está en el intervalo de 0,5:1 a 1,4:1; (ii.2) sintetizar hidrotérmicamente un material zeolítico que contiene titanio que tiene una estructura de entramado MWW a partir de la mezcla de síntesis acuosa preparada en (ii.1), obteniendo un licor madre que comprende el material zeolítico que contiene titanio que tiene una estructura de entramado MWW; (iii) secado por aspersión del licor madre obtenido de (ii.2) que comprende el material zeolítico que contiene titanio que tiene una estructura de entramado MWW, en el que durante el secado por aspersión en (iii), la temperatura de entrada del gas de secado está en el intervalo de 200 a 700 ºC y la temperatura de salida del gas de secado está en el intervalo de 70 a 190 ºC.

Abstract: A continuous process for the preparation of propylene oxide, comprising (i) providing a liquid feed stream comprising propene, hydrogen peroxide, acetonitrile, water, optionally propane, and at least one dissolved potassium salt of a phosphorus oxyacid wherein the molar ratio of potassium relative to phosphorus in the at least one potassium salt of a phosphorus oxyacid is in the range of from 0.6 to 1.4; (ii) passing the liquid feed stream provided in (i) into an epoxidation reactor comprising a catalyst comprising a titanium zeolite of structure type MWW comprising zinc, and subjecting the liquid feed stream to epoxidation reaction conditions in the epoxidation reactor, obtaining a reaction mixture comprising propylene oxide, acetonitrile, water, the at least one dissolved potassium salt of a phosphorus oxyacid, optionally propene, and optionally propane; (iii) removing an effluent stream from the epoxidation reactor, the effluent stream comprising propylene oxide, acetonitrile, water, at least a portion of the at least one dissolved potassium salt of a phosphorus oxyacid, optionally propene, and optionally propane.

Abstract: Disclosed is a process for purifying propylene oxide. A stream S0 containing propylene oxide, acetonitrile, water, and an organic compound containing one or more of acetone and propionaldehyde is provided. Propylene oxide is separated from S0 by subjecting S0 to distillation in a first distillation unit, obtaining a gaseous top stream S1c enriched in propylene oxide, a liquid bottom stream S1a enriched in acetonitrile and water, and a side stream S1b containing propylene oxide and enriched in the carbonyl compound; reacting the carbonyl compound in S1b with an organic compound containing an amino group to obtain a reaction product; separating propylene oxide from the reaction product in a second distillation unit, obtaining a gaseous top stream S3a enriched in propylene oxide and a liquid bottoms stream S3b enriched in the reaction product; and introducing stream S3a into the first distillation unit.
