Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser sinterable powder based on a polyamide comprising a poly(N-methyl methacrylimide)(PMMI), a polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) or a PPMI/PMMA copolymer (in the form of a particle), more advantageously a polyamide 12, to provide a process for producing the powder and to provide a molded article produced by selective laser sintering of the powder. SOLUTION: The sinterable powder for selective laser sintering comprises at least one kind of polyamide and at least one kind of a poly(N-methyl methacrylimide) (PMMI), a polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) and/or a PMMI/PMMA copolymer. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a three dimensional object, which can be carried out with a simple, hence inexpensive and hard to fail, equipment. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the three dimensional object comprises the step of applying a susceptor on a region of a layer comprising a powdery substrate not absorbing or poorly absorbing a microwave radiation, where the layer is to be welded. The susceptor can absorb the microwave radiation, and discharges the absorbed energy to the surrounding substrate as a heat. Thereby, the substrate of the layer in the region, or occasionally of the layer above or below thereof, is welded by melting or sintering so that the three dimensional object is manufactured from the powdery substrate using the microwave radiation. SOLUTION: The optical cable has a fiber core (1) and a fiber clad (2) and additionally has an inner external layer (3) which is stuck to the fiber clad and is made of a molding material containing polyamide and has a zero-share viscosity in a range of 400 to 6,000 Pas when measured at 220°C and an outer external layer (4) which is stuck with ≤30N tension and is made of a polyamide molding material containing 20 to 95 mass % polyamide, 5 to 45 mass % flame retardant, and 0 to 60 mass % impact resistance reinforcing agent. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a molding material which has better cuttablity and blow moldability than those of conventional polyamide molding materials, and has a high melt rigidity. SOLUTION: The molding material comprises a polyamine/polyamide copolymer to be produced by using (a) 0.05-2.5 mass% (based on the polyamine/ polyamide copolymer) polyamine having at least 4 nitrogen atoms and (b) a polyamide-forming monomer to be selected from an equimolar compound of a lactam, an ω-aminocarboxylic acid and/or a diamine and a dicarboxylic acid, and meets the conditions that the viscosity at -250 deg.C is at least 5,000 Pa.s and the shear rate is 0.1 1/s; and the viscosity ratio at -250 deg.C is at least 7 (in this instance the melt viscosities at shear rates of 0.1 1/s and 100 1/s being compared with each other).

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a molded member under the condensation of a polyamide molding material whose polyamide component contains phosphorus in an amount of at least 5 ppm limited by the production in the form of an acidic compound, with a compound having at least two carbonate units. SOLUTION: This method for producing the molded member is characterized by (a) adding a weak acid salt in an amount of 0.001 to 10 mass% based on the polyamide to the polyamide molding material, before or when compounded, (b) producing a mixture of the completed compound with a compound having at least two carbonate units, (c), if necessary, storing and/or transporting the mixture, and (d) then processing the mixture into the molded member, wherein a condensation is carried out for the first time in the process. According to the present invention, a middle processing pressure, a slight motor load, and the remarkable increase of melt stiffness are caused to considerably simplify the production of a hollow article or hollow deformed article having a large diameter. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved method which definitely increases the molecular weight of polyamide simply by a single process. SOLUTION: A condensation process of a polyamide comprises condensing the polyamide or a polyamide molded material with a compound having at least 2 carbonate units in an amount of 0.005-10 mass % to the amount of the polyamide, wherein the following conditions exist: (a) the polyamide contains 5-500 ppm of phosphorus in the form of an acidic compound originating from the manufacturing process of the polyamide ; and (b) 0.001-10 mass % of a weak acid salt is added to the polyamide or the polyamide moulding material. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder for selective laser sintering, to provide a method for producing the powder, to provide a method for producing shaped articles, and to provide articles produced by the method. SOLUTION: The powder for selective laser sintering comprises a powder containing at least one kind of polyamide and titanium dioxide powder. The shaped article produced by using the powder causes no yellowing caused by heat load in laser sintering. And the shaped article is evidently improved in mechanical properties, especially in elasticity, compared with the shaped articles produced from powders based on the conventional technologies.
