    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance the miniaturization and reduction in noise by conforming the discharge directions to release the discharge flows from first and second compression chambers into a single muffler. CONSTITUTION:A first cylinder 31 forms a first compression chamber 29 together with a rotor 3 side housing 27 and a first intermediate plate 28, and has a first communicating hole 33 for guiding discharge flow to a muffler 32. A second cylinder 40 forms a second compression chamber together with a second intermedinate plate 34 and an anti-rotor 3 side housing 36. The discharge directions are conformed to each other to release the discharge flows from the first and second compression chambers 29, 37 into the single muffler 32. Hence, miniaturization can be enhanced while holding a sufficient muffler capacity. The pulsation component contained in the discharge flow can be smoothed to reduce noise.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the pulsation of discharge flow so as to obtain a silent two-cylider rotary compressor by uniting the discharge flow from a first compression chamber and that from a second compression chamber in a muffler with approximately half cycle phase delay. CONSTITUTION:A crankshaft 22 is provided with a first and a second eccentric shafts 23, 24, and a first cylinder 31 forms a first compression chamber 29 together with a rotor side housing 27 and a first middle plate 28. The first middle plate 28 is provided with a first discharge opening 31 for the passing of discharge flow from the first compression chamber 29 as well as with a first communicating hole 33for leading discharge flow to a muffler 32. A second cylinder 40 forms a second compression chamber 37 together with a second middle plate 34 and a non-rotor side housing 36, and is provided with a second communicating hole 35 for communicating the first communicating hole 33 with a release hole 39. The eccentric direction phase difference of the first and second eccentric shafts 23, 24 of the crankshaft 22 is determined in such a way that the discharge flow from the first compression chamber 29 and that from the second compression chamber 37 are united in the muffler 32, being dislocated by approximately half phase in relation to the rotational cycle of the crankshaft 22.

CONSTITUTION:Gas compressed by a compression chamber 6 flows through a gap between a valve seat 17 of a plate 15 and a delivery valve 16, and is released in a closed vessel 1 after the passage of it through a first chamber 20a of a delivery muffler chamber 20, a communicating passage 20d, a second chamber 20b, a communicating passage 20e, a third chamber 20c, and an auxiliary bearing delivery hole 19. The load of a shaft 5 is supported by main and auxiliary bearings 10 and 18. Thus, by division of a bearing function from a valve seat function, the plate 15 can form a plate, surface polishing of the valve seat surface and the surface on the cylinder side of the plate is practicable, and machining precision of the valve seat surface is improved. A delivery muffler chamber formed with the auxiliary bearing and the plate can be formed with a plurality of muffler chambers and a communicating passage, and a muffling effect.

CONSTITUTION:A rotor side heat insulating material 15 is airtightly pinched between a side housing 8 on the rotor side and a cylinder, a heat insulating material 16 on the opposite side to the rotor is airtightly pinched between a side housing 10 on the opposite side to the rotor and the cylinder 7. The heat insulation property between the cylinder 7 and the side housings 8 and 10 is increased, the thermal effect between a compression element and the refrigerant gas is decreased, thus the specific gravity quantity of the intake refrigerant gas under the same intake volume is increased. The refrigerating capability is improved, a compressor with high efficiency can be realized.

In addition, in regard to amplification of the noise with a specific frequency caused by acoustic characteristics of the intake muffler 31, the noise with the frequency can be damped before it is amplified.

In this case, the connecting pipe 37 consists of three connecting passages 37a-37c having different length and section area, and one end of each connecting passage 37a-37c is fitted in a suction hole of a cylinder head 40 so as to be opened in a plenum chamber 39 of the cylinder head 40. Even if one of the connecting passages 37a-37c has a natural frequency mode inappropriate for the flow of the refrigerant gas and the refrigerant gas generates the abnormal vibration, since at least one of other connecting passages has other natural frequency mode, abnormal movement of the refrigerant gas is restricted.
