The shaft 105 is rotatably supported to control a lateral position of the container 98. Thus, a number of components are less, and a harsh grating noise can be reduced.

SOLUTION: A refrigerator is equipped with a freezer chamber 7, a changeover chamber 8 where one compartment in the freezer chamber 7 is divided by an insulating wall 9 for forming, and an ice-making room 10 that is adjacent to the changeover chamber 8 in the freezer chamber 7 in left and right directions and has an ice maker 12 and an ice-storing box 13, and the freezer chamber 7 and the ice-making room are divided by a partition board 11, thus preventing the smell of food being preserved in the freezer chamber 7 from getting into ice while the ice is produced and stored.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the generation of noise of refrigerant flow from a capillary tube to a connecting pipe and at an inlet portion of a cooler by dividing the connecting pipe which connects the capillary tube with the cooler into a given number of flow passages. SOLUTION: A connecting pipe 8 has its inlet portion 8a connected with a capillary tube 6. The inlet portion 8a is bifurcated into two flow passages which consists of one flow passage 8b having a length Lb and the other flow passage 8c having a length Lc(≠b). These flow passages are combined at an outlet portion 8d which is connected with a cooler. In this manner, the connecting pipe 8 is divided into two flow passages 8b, 8c and their pipe length are made different from each other so that a noise of a sinusoidal wave generated in one flow passage is canceled or offset by generating a sinusoidal wave which differ in phase in the other flow passage. Accordingly, the generation of noise of the refrigerant flow at the portion of the connecting pipe 8 ranging from the capillary tube 6 to the inlet portion of the cooler can be reduced.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain insertion of a gasket into a groove of a door and coming-off prevention of the gasket from the groove by a method wherein a fin is arranged at the central part of an anchor section of the gasket. SOLUTION: A door 17 of a refrigerator is provided with a gasket 21 for use in attracting both a main body 18 of the door formed by an outer plate 6 and an inner plate 7 as well as a foamed material 8 filled between these plates, and an outer box 2 at the main body 1 of the refrigerator by a magnet 20 inserted into a magnet recess 19. The recess having the gasket 21 inserted therein is constituted by an integral-formed groove 22, an anchor section 23 of the gasket 21 inserted into the groove 22 and fins 24 arranged at the central lateral portions of the anchor section 23. Since there are no fins at the extremity end of the anchor section, the gasket 21 can be easily inserted into the groove 22 up to the fins arranged at the central portion when the gasket 21 is inserted into the grove 22, resulting in that a certain strength can be applied to the anchor section 23 and so its subsequent inserting characteristic can be improved. In addition, variation of an inner size of the element can be absorbed by the fins and then the gasket 21 does not come off from the groove.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a cooling speed of food and restrict an increasing of temperature of food when a power failure occurs by a method wherein there is provided a specified low temperature chamber defined and formed by a door U-shaped shelf in a refrigeration chamber and coolant is filled in a U-shaped shelf in the specified low temperature chamber. SOLUTION: A door 29 is a door of a specified low temperature chamber 30, a shelf 31 is formed into a U-shape in such a way that it may cover a bottom part and both side surfaces of the specified low temperature chamber 30, a cool storage medium 32 is filled in it and it can be slid in a forward direction. In such a configuration as above, cold air flowed through the first discharging port and the second discharging port and the medium 32 are filled in the specified low temperature chamber 30, thereby the entire area is uniformly cooled without any irregular distribution of temperature by the shelf 31 comprising the bottom part and both side surfaces having a cool storage effect in advance. In this way, even if a large amount of foods are stored in it, the large amount of foods are cooled by cold air discharged to a specified low temperature chamber 30, both side surfaces of the U-shaped shelf 31 filled with cooled medium 32 in advance as well as its bottom surface, so that it is possible to restrict an irregular distribution of temperature at the food.

By virtue of a constitution featuring connection of the pipe joint 44 with another pipe joint 33 at the time that a feedwater tank 7 is in place in a refrigerating chamber 5 and the use of a switch 14 which closes or opens a circuit according as the feedwater tank 7 is set or removed the water is drawn by suction directly from the feedwater tank 7 and fed to an ice-making vessel 2 though pipes 8, 9. It does not occur for the water in the pipe 8 or the pipe 9 to leak out or collect locally even when the feedwater tank 7 is pulled out or put in place so that the possibility of the water coming in contact with air in the channel from the feedwater tank 7 to the icemaking vessel 2 can be reduced.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the right or left side of a shelf from inclining, and to move the shelf with a small strength by forming a sliding slot, receiving a part of a slidable member, vertically in a rail and also forming a rack meshing with a flat gear on one side. CONSTITUTION:When a shelf 1 in a shelf mechanism is moved up or down, a dial 6a is turned, then a dial shaft 7 and a drive gear 8 are rotated, a rolling gear 9 which fits into the drive gear 8 is rotated, a gear shaft 4 and flat gears 5 on both sides are rotated, and the flat gear 5 is moved while meshing with a rack 14b on the front side of a slidable slot 14a. At this time, the flat gears 5 on the right and left are fixed to the gear shaft 4 and rotated together so that the right and left sides of a frame 2, i.e. the shelf 1, are moved up and down in a same way without causing difference of height between both sides. Thus, the shelf 1 and the frame 2 can be moved vertically while being kept level.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To cover sliding members and spur gears from the upper part of them and prevent the dropping and the like of food by a method wherein a rack and a frame are permitted to be moved up-and-down by spur gears, rotated and moved up-and-down simultaneously on left and right racks, while being held horizontally while the frame is provided with a flange. CONSTITUTION:Spur gears at both left and right ends are rotated simultaneously by a driving device 6, rotating a gear shaft 4 or the spur gears 5, whereby the spur gears can be moved up-and-down on the rack 14b. Accordingly, the rack 1 and the frame 2 can be moved up-and-down while being kept horizontally by the spur gears, rotated and moved up-and-down simultaneously on the left and right racks. According to this constitution, a sliding member 3, moved up-and-down in the same sliding groove 14a, can be slid smoothly without being slanted obliquely and, therefore, a small operating power is enough to move an operating part. Additionally, the sliding member 3 and the spur gears 5 are covered by a flange 2g provided on the frame 2 whereby the dropping and the like of food can be prevented. On the other hand, the food, having a comparatively high height, can be received by moving a fore rack 1a to the lower part of a rear rack 1b.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable a shelf to be moved up and down while being kept horizontal by a driving device for use in rotating a gear shaft, to keep a spacing between a sliding member and a sliding groove constant by position setting in a width direction of a frame with a shelf flange projected and formed from the shelf and to enable a high food to be stored by sliding a front shelf below a rear shelf. CONSTITUTION:When a dial 6a is rotated, a dial shaft 7 and a driving gear 8 are rotated. A turning gear 9 engaged with the driving gear 8 is rotated and spur gears 5 at both sides are rotated together with a gear shaft 4. Right and left spur gears 5 are fixed to the gear shaft 4 and rotated in the same manner to each other, so that a frame 2, i.e. a shelf 1 is moved up and down in the same manner at right and left sides. A position in a width direction of a frame 2 is defined by a shelf flange 1e, a spacing between a sliding member 3 and a sliding groove 14a is kept constant. When a front shelf 1a is pushed rearwardly, an end part 1d of a front shelf 1a is slid in a shelf receiving groove 2d, slidably supported by a concave part 2e arranged in a range of the shelf receiving groove 2d, positioned below the rear shelf 1b to form a releasing part in front of the shelf 1 and then a high food can be stored.

CONSTITUTION:The rear wall 3b of a cover body 3 is connected integrally to a partitioning wall 2, formed so as to be projected in the shape of an arc toward the inside direction of a refrigerator, by screwing bolts 5 into nuts 7 while penetrating through attaching holes 3c. Under this condition, the rear wall 3b of the cover body 3 is pushed in a direction shown by an arrow sign B in a diagram while respective side walls 3d become slanted condition accompanied by elasticity toward a direction shown by an arrow sign A. Further, heat insulating material 6 is inserted under a condition that the cover body 3 is connected to the partitioning wall 2 and, thereafter, the opening of the cover body 3 is expanded by a jig or the like to engage a front plate 4 with the cover body 3, then, very rigid engaging condition can be obtained.
