Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the free setting or selection of a proper combination corresponding to a measuring purpose and to increase the number of measuring points on an object to be inspected without increasing the number of light sources or detectors. SOLUTION: Each combination formed by one light transmitting point among a plurality of light transmitting points and one light receiving point among a plurality of light receiving points, or one light source and one detector is allowed to correspond to one of a large number of recording channels separately prepared by a correspondence table capable of being set by an operator. The light source and the light transmitting point as well as the light receiving point and the detector are connected by branched light guide bodies, and the light passing through the same branched light guide body is separated to be measured. By this constitution, the photometry between the light transmitting and receiving points corresponding to a large number of channels is performed by a reduced number of light sources and detectors.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure with a plurality of wavelengths and/or wavelength ranges in an optical apparatus for measuring a living matter. SOLUTION: High-speed measurement of two-dimensional measured image data with the plurality of wavelengths and/or wavelength ranges is realized by reducing the number of filters. Two measurements of high-speed measurement of two-dimensional measured image data with a small number of wavelengths and/or wavelength ranges and measurement of component data with many wavelengths are separately carried out to realize the above measurement.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the two-dimensional information of a light absorbing substance over a wide range by providing a section for irradiating a sample with a slit-like or linear light thereby realizing an optimal detection sensitivity depending on the characteristics of the substance of a specimen. SOLUTION: When a monochromatic light is transmitted from light sources 4, 5 through an optical fiber 3 to an irradiating part 1, the light impinges vertically onto a sample (s) from the irradiating face of the optical fiber 3 constituting the irradiating part 1. The light irradiating part of the optical fiber 3 has a length in the axial direction and a slit-like or linear light is formed. The light impinging on the sample (s) is scattered by a substance contained therein and radiated again from the surface of the sample (s) with an intensity and at a position corresponding to the absorption coefficient of the substance. A detector 2 detects the intensity of the reflected light thereof. Since the light absorption coefficient is difference for different substance, the absorption sensitivity being detected is also difference for different substance but the absorption sensitivity can be regulated depending on the substance to be measured by varying the width of a light shielding section 12.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain data on the concentration of an absorbent contained in a subject without measuring the intensity of incident light. SOLUTION: Fine laser beams are irradiated from a laser beam irradiation device 10 to a subject 71, and the beams transmitted through the subject 71 and outgoing therefrom are made incident on a solid image pickup element 12. At the same time, the beams are scanned, and picture element data along an optical axis obtainable from a solid image pickup element 12 as well as picture element group data around the optical axis are stored in an image processing memory 17 via an image collection memory 14. Also, an absorbance difference is obtained from the two types of data with a CPU 18, thereby calculating data on the concentration of an absorbent contained in the subject 71.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable the learning of changes in measured values about objects to be measured by mounting a measuring device on or removing from the objects to be measured. CONSTITUTION:A measured value obtained when a measurement is performed with a probe 52 contacting an absorbance origin standard device 50 is stored into a contrast value memory section 54 as a contrast value. An initial value memory section 56 is backed up with a battery and a ratio between the initial measured value of the objects 8 to be measured and the contrast value or that converted to absorbance are stored as initial value of the objects 8. An absorbance calculating section 58 converts the ratio between the current measured value and the contrast value in logarithm to determine the current absorbance in the calculation of hourly changes in the absorbance when the biophotometer is mounted on the objects 8 initially and those when it is mounted following the second operation while being corrected by the initial value stored in the initial value memory section 56 to calculate changes in absorbance.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide measurability for the absolute value of photo-absorptivity by performing auto zero processing of the photo-absorptivity including the auto gain setting to the standard of known photo-absorptivity in which the absorptivity is not zero, and using the absorptivity point-of-origin standard independent of patient. CONSTITUTION:Auto zero processing of photo-absorptivity including auto gain setting is conducted to the standard of known photo-absorptivity where the absorptivity is not zero, and thereupon the initial photo-absorptivity value of a vital body specimen is measured. Then a similar auto zero processing is made again, and change in the photo-absorptivity thereafter is measured. In the standard 1 of known photo- absorptivity where the absorptivity is not zero, a light sending part 4a of a absorption side light guide 4 is installed at an opening of a light input part 2, and there the light is projected over. This projected light 6 diffuses at the inner surface of the light input part 2. The photo-receiving part 10a of a reception side light guide 10 is installed at the outlet opening of the light output part 8, and the diffused light 12 by the output part 8 is put incident to this light guide 10. A junction 14 is provided between these light input and output parts 2, 8, and setting is made so that an appropriate reduction of light intensity is obtained.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for preparing a vacant cup necessary to only the number of a specimen by utilizing one piece or a plurality of continuous reaction tubes in a reaction line and diluting the specimen and dispersing the diluted specimen soln. into the next reaction tube. CONSTITUTION:A required specimen supplied from a turntable 14 is sucked with a specimen dispensing nozzle mechanism 16 and dispensed into a reaction tube 12 in the position (a) of a reaction line 10 which is moved in series. Further when dilution thereof is necessitated, the specimen is diluted via deaerated water supplied from a diluter pump and a pipetter pump. The reaction tube 12 utilized for this dilution is moved to the position (b). When the next reaction tube 12 reaches the position (a), the soln, of the diluted specimen in the reaction tube 12 of the position (b) which is utilized for dilution is dispensed by the mechanism 18. The reaction tube 12 utilized for dilution is washed by a washing mechanism and reutilized without being removed. Further when the sequential reaction tubes 12 are used and the specimen is diluted in the multisteps, the operation is similarly performed. It is made unnecessary that a vacant cup necessary to only the number of the specimen is prepared. Further the need for removing the cup utilized for dilution is eliminated and this constitution is not made complex and the automatic analyzer is not large-sized.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To increase a treatment speed by allotting an analytical item to a reaction tube block one at a time and distributing different specimens in respective reaction tubes. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of holes 2 are arranged to a microplate 4 as reaction tubes in one row to be integrated and the microplate 4 is fitted in a base 6 to constitute a reaction tube block 1. An analytical item is allotted to each block one at a time and arranged to each groove of the rack of a reaction tube block supply apparatus 8 and specimens are arranged to a specimen chain 21. An item to be analyzed with respect to each of the specimens is inputted to a computer and, when an item to be distributed is selected, the supply appara tus 8 supplies the block of said item and the specimen chain 21 of a specimen distribution mechanism transfers a specimen cup and a specimen distributor 20 injects a specimen in the reaction tubes. A plurality of specimens to be subjected to the measurement of said item are distributed to the reaction tubes of different blocks and the block after the completion of distribution is sent to an analytical part. As mentioned above, by performing the distribution of a reagent in a block unit all at once, a treatment speed can be enhanced.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To allow two measurement modes by providing an optical path switching means which allows the free selection of whether light is made incident to a sample or the light is bypassed along the sample and is introduced directly to the next 2nd spectroscope or photodetector. CONSTITUTION:The sample is set in a 1st setting position 3 and the exit light of a 1st spectroscope 1 is made incident to the sample in the 1st measurement mode. The fluorescence emitted from the sample is made incident to the 2nd spectroscope 2 and the exit light of the spectroscope 2 is deflected and made incident to a photodetector 4 by the optical path switching means 6 installed in a 2nd sample setting position 5. Stimulating spectra scan the spectroscope 2 by scanning the spectroscope 1 in this case, by which the fluorescent light emitting spectra are obtd. The element 6 is installed in the position 3 and the sample is set in the position 5 in the 2nd measurement mode. The light through the spectroscopes 1, 2 is then made incident to the sample and the fluorescence from the sample is made incident to the photodetector 4. Since the spectroscopes 1, 2 enter the sample in series thereto in this way, the same effect as the effect of using double monochrometers as stimulating spectroscopes is obtd. and the stray light of the stimulating light is sufficiently diminished.
