Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of an important fault in advance by stopping the drive power supply to an electronic function block other than a video monitor function block on the occurrence of a fault of forced cooling function and giving alarm display onto the video monitor function block for the occurrence of the fault. CONSTITUTION:A fault detection means 5 detects a fault state of a forced cooling function 3 provided to a composite video monitor 10 and gives a detection output to a control means 6. Then on the occurrence of a fault of the forced cooling function, the control means 6, based on the detection output by the fault detection means 5, stops the supply of the drive power supply 4 to electronic function blocks other than the video monitor function block 2 and the occurrence of the fault of the forced cooling function is subject to alarm display by the video monitor function block 2. Thus, the sure operation of various incorporated function blocks is ensured and the occurrence of important fault such as baking of the equipment main body or a fire is prevented in advance to secure the safety.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To always obtain a stable color/black-white discriminating signal by supplying the detection signal to a comparator having a hysteresis from a detecting circuit to use the output of the detecting circuit as a color/black-white discriminating signal and at the same time controlling an attenuator. CONSTITUTION: When the levels of color signals R-Y/B-Y are reduced down to L b , the output potential of a rectifying/smoothing circuit 7 is higher than the threshold level TH 2 . As a result, a comparator 8 is set in a black-white mode and a signal of a low level "0" is obtained at an output terminal 9 as a color/ black-white discriminating signal SDIS. In this case, a connection switch 10c of an attenuator 10 is turned on. Therefore the relation between the output potential of the circuit 7 and the levels of signals R-Y/B-Y is shown by broken line B in a figure. At the same time, the threshold level of the comparator 8 is set at TH 1 . Therefore the output potential of the circuit 7 is considerably higher than the level TH 1 . PURPOSE:To separate a pilot signal securely from an audio signal without influencing the audio signal, by recording the single pilot signal on more than one audio track in an inphase or out-of-phase state in accordance with the kind of a multiple audio signal. CONSTITUTION:A signal obtained by demodulating a multiple audio signal is recorded on more than one audio track, and in accordance with the kind of the multiple audio signal, a single pilot signal is recorded on more than one audio track in an inphase or out-of-phase state. For example, the recording system 10A of a VTR superposes on encoded single-frequency pilot signals Pb and Pc, generated by a generating circuit 20 from the output Pw of a detecting circuit 15 for the multiple control signal, corresponding to the multiple control signal on demodulated audio signals Sb and Sc to record them on audio tracks of a magnetic tape 5. A reproduction system 10B supplies a reproduced control signal Pw' to a generating circuit 40 for the multiple control signal CS, which is generated corresponding to the pilot signals Pb and Pc.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the program recording reservation device and the program recording reservation method by which contents of a program having been reserved by means of a G code are revised through the operation of a few conventional keys. SOLUTION: The program recording reservation device has a tuner section 1 and a tuner control section 4, a VTR control section 5 and a VTR section 13, a timer control section 6, a key 2, a remote controller 3, a monitor 14 and a fluorescent display tube 15, a G code reservation mode start section 7 that starts a G code reservation setting mode to display reservation entry items, a G code setting section 8 that displays reservation confirmation items and starts an update mode, an update mode start section 9, a start time setting section 10 and an end time setting section 11, and a reservation storage section 12 that stores a setting value, and includes the update mode in which contents of a G code are updated by only reservation confirmation display, then can update contents of a reserved program by means of a G code through a simple operation in a short time.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set setup data for reserving a G code with a simple operation by setting a setup setting value only with the selection of a reception area. SOLUTION: When an easy G code setup is selected in a menu screen displayed by the input of the menu key 35 of a key 2, the easy G code setup mode start part 7 of a timer control part 6 starts an easy G code setup mode and displays a city name selection screen on a monitor 14 or a fluorescent display tube 15. A city name selection part 8 selects a city name receiving a broadcasting signal on the displayed city name selection screen. A table selection part 9 selects and reads a setup setting value corresponding to the city name which is set by the input of the OK key 36 of the key 2 on a displayed G code reservation content recognition screen from the table of a memory. A television channel setting part 10 sets a television channel number which is selected and read from the table of the memory as the setup setting value.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a cue and a review by pressing only one operation button and also to set a review time according to the user's preference. SOLUTION: When a skip button is once pressed at the time of watching a program under the usual playback(PB) state, the cue state is effected. When the skip button is pressed again after arrival at the point desired to be seen, the cue state is changed over to a review state. Then, after performing a review for a fixed time T1, the PB state is automatically effective again. At the time of the second successive pressing as stated above, if this pressing is kept on as it is, the review is continued during the pressing time. Then, when the skip button is released from its pressing, the review is canceled to become the PB state. The review time T1 can be set according to the user' preference.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To easily use a tuner which can receive satellite broadcast by forming a signal route between the satellite broadcast tuner and a video output unit and setting the satellite broadcast tuner which can be used in an operation state. CONSTITUTION: A television receiver 1 is made an AV center. A fourth VTR5, a first VTR2 and a second VTR3 are connected to the receiver 1 being the AV center as the AV units of a slave machine. A video disk player 6 is connected to the VTR5 of the slave machine as a grand child machine. A satellite tuner 7 and a third VTR4 are connected to the VTR2 of the slave machine as the AV units of the grand child machine. When a system satellite monitor function is used, the signal of the free satellite tuner 7 can be displayed on the receiver 1 during video recording. When an automatic tuner switching function is used, the satellite tuner in a system can be set to an operation state even if the satellite tuner 7 is not incorporated in the receiver, and the reception picture of satellite broadcasting can be displayed by using the satellite tuner 7.

PURPOSE:To rationally input and output signals regardless of reduction of the number of connectors by switching a line input and the input from a specific device in accordance with switching of a switching means and outputting a signal to the connector of the line input at the time of switching to the input from this specific device. CONSTITUTION:A switching means 15 is switched to position '1', the signal from a second connector 12 is supplied to a signal processing circuit 16; and when the switching means 15 is switched to position '2', the signal from a first connector 11 is supplied to the signal processing circuit 16, and the signal from this circuit 16 is taken out to the second connector 12. Thus, the second connector 12 is rationally used for input and output, and signals are rationally inputted and outputted though the number of connectors is small.

PURPOSE:To eliminate an erroneous discrimination on a carrier due to a noise by giving different DC potentials to the positive-phase and negative-phase output voltages of a multiplying circuit for quadrature detection. CONSTITUTION:A control voltage Vin is varied to set an offset voltage between the positive-phase and negative-phase output voltage of the multiplying circuit 4 in various modes. Namely, when the control voltage Vin is between ''0'' and V1, the difference between currents I and J, i.e. offset voltage is constant. When the control voltage is between V1 corresponding to DELTAV and V2, the offset voltage is maximum and an erroneous discrimination 2' is suppressed greatly at this time. Then, when the control voltage is between V2 and Vcc, the offset voltage drops with a gradient corresponding to the resistance value of a resistor 45. Constant current sources 51 and 52 are connected to the emitters of transistors 48 and 49 to stabilize offsets at output terminals 4c and 4d of the multiplying circuit 4.
