    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the titled uniform fiber, stably, by melt-spinning a termoplastic polyester polymer through a spinneret, cooling below the glass transition temperature, drawing in a hot zone heated with hot gas introduced actively into the zone at a specific flow velocity, and winding at a high speed. CONSTITUTION:A thermoplastic polyester polymer is subjected to the melt spinning through a spinneret, and cooled to a temperature below the glass transition temperature. The obtained yarn Y is transferred through a hot zone to effect the thermal drawing in the zone. In the adove process, the heating cylinder 1 is furnished with plural small holes 3 and a hot-gas-supplying part 2 surrounding said holes 3, and the heating zone is heated with the electric heater 4. Hot gas satisfying the formula T>=Tg+10 [T is the temperature of the hot gas ( deg.C), and Tg is the glass transition temperature of the polymer] and the formula 0.6F =3,000m/min to obtain the objective fiber.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biaxially oriented polypropylene film that, when subjected to widely-practiced longitudinal/lateral sequential biaxial stretching, has a high rigidity in the longitudinal direction and a high dimensional stability, and a high moisture proofness. SOLUTION: The biaxially oriented polypropylene film comprises mixing polypropylene (A) having a mesopentad fraction of 94-99.5%, and satisfying the relationship represented by formula (1): log(MS)>-0.61 log(MFR)+0.52 as to melt strength (MS) measured at 230 deg.C and a melt flow rate (MFR), with at least one of an additive which is compatible with the polypropylene and impartable a plasticizing effect upon the orientation.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a false twist yarn for producing a cloth having high-grade image, that is, having light-weight feeling and excellent in dry feeling, springiness, body feeling and touch like hemp, which are not realized in a conventional false twist yarn. CONSTITUTION: This is a false twist yarn in which at least a part of the fibers constituting the yarn consists of hollow fibers satisfying the following criteria (1) to (3). (1) The maximum hollow ratio is =1.5 and the degrees of modified cross sections are distributed at random. (3) Grooves are formed on the surface of fibers by thinning treatment. The false twist yarn can give a cloth having a high-grade image when a woven or knit fabric is produced therefrom since the hollow ratios and the degrees of modified cross sections at hollow parts are distributed at random at least in a part of the fibers constituting the false twist yarn and further the false twist yarn is composed of hollow fibers in which specific grooves are formed by a thinning treatment on the surface of fibers.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To produce a porous hollow fiber of fine denier which has a sufficient number of hollow parts continuing in the fiber direction and is suitably useful in the clothing applications such as inner wears or sport wears because of its light weight and see-through prevention property. CONSTITUTION: This porous type hollow fiber is made of a thermoplastic polymer A having at least eleven hollow parts B each having more than 0.14μm pore diameter and a filament fineness of from 0.4-5 denier. In the high-order processing of the fiber, only a very small part of the hollow parts is collapsed to keep a highly hollow property and this is highly effective for see-through prevention.
