본 발명은 선상에서 해수의 전기분해와 화석연료의 개질을 통해 수소를 생산하고, 생산된 수소를 연료전지로 공급하여 선박을 추진할 수 있으며, 화석연료의 개질화 과정에서 발생하는 일산화탄소 및 이산화탄소는 해저 미생물과 해조류 등을 이용하여 제거할 수 있는 선박용 친환경 화석연료 개질 연료전지 추진 시스템 및 이를 이용한 선박의 추진 방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따른 선박용 친환경 화석연료 개질 연료전지 추진 시스템은, 선박에 설치되는 선박용 화석연료 개질 연료전지 추진 시스템에 있어서, 해수를 전기분해하여 수소가스를 생산하는 해수전기분해부; 화석연료를 저장하는 화석연료저장부; 상기 화석연료저장부에서 공급되는 화석연료를 고온에서 반응시키고 개질하여 수소가스와 일산화탄소(CO)와 이산화탄소(CO 2 )를 포함하는 합성가스를 생산하는 화석연료개질부; 상기 화석연료개질부에서 공급되는 합성가스 중의 일산화탄소(CO)를 섭취하여 분해하고 수소가스를 생산하는 해저 미생물이 수용된 미생물 수소생산부; 상기 미생물 수소생산부에서 분해되지 않은 일산화탄소(CO)와 상기 화석연료개질부에서 공급된 합성가스 중의 이산화탄소(CO 2 )를 공급받아 포집하는 해조류가 수용되어 있고, 포집 과정에서 발생한 산소를 외부로 배출하는 이산화탄소포집부; 상기 해수전기분해부와 화석연료개질부 및 미생물 수소생산부에서 발생한 수소가스를 저장하는 수소저장용기; 및, 상기 수소저장용기로부터 수소를 공급받아 선박 추진용 전동기를 구동시키기 위한 전기에너지를 생산하는 수소 연료전지;를 포함한다.
Abstract:
An apparatus that facilitates search and rescue, for example, in open water. The apparatus comprises a substrate with a particular geometry and a perimeter. The apparatus further comprises a cover positioned atop the substrate with the cover also having a particular geometry and perimeter, which correspond to the geometry and perimeter of the substrate. An air-tight seal seals the substrate perimeter to the cover perimeter and creates a sealed internal region. A liquid-releasable vessel holding an illuminable dye located in the sealed internal region, along with an activator that is also located in the sealed internal region. When the liquid-releasable vessel releases the illuminable dye, the illuminable dye reacts with the activator, thereby resulting in illumination of the illuminable dye. The liquid-releasable vessel comprises an opening with a release mechanism (e.g., clamp, etc.).
Abstract:
The present invention provides an anchor alarm device which is a manually deployed weighted device attached to or near the anchor which signals to device equipment at water-level. The device detects the movement of, or physical force generated by, a dislodged anchor. When deployed, a component of the anchor alarm device rests adjacent to or as part of a seated anchor at a distance predetermined by the tolerance of the secondary rode. The secondary rode connects the device directly to the anchor, or near the anchor on the primary rode. Upon displacement of the set anchor, in excess of the secondary rode, the device alerts the user. The device utilizes sensor monitoring inside of a housing component to detect a force indicative of anchor displacement. This detection triggers a signals emission which alerts the user of the change in position. In cases wherein the anchor is not immediately retrieved, device re-arms autonomously and stops emission of the alarm signal until the next anchor displacement. The system communicates with signal devices on board or deployed near the anchoring vessel in order to alert the user.
Abstract:
A safety shield for protecting a passenger in an internal space from external physical dangers caused by the occurrence of a disaster. The safety shield comprises an outer appearance unit. The outer appearance unit is made of a material that can shield from and absorb the physical danger. The safety shield can be folded and stored under ordinary circumstances, and the volume of the safety shield can be inflated by air fed in from an air tank upon the occurrence of a disaster so as to form the internal space.
Abstract:
A boomerang shaped wave rider board, specifically designed to be used by children and young adolescents in the whitewater portion of a breaking wave is disclosed. The board has a pair of elastic connectors on each side to enable two or more boards to be connected in parallel so that riders can ride in tandem. The board also has a remote signaling device so that a person on shore can signal to a rider in the water.
