Abstract:
A massager is provided with a body support member having a frame with a cavity. A substrate has a series of receptacles and is mounted to the frame. A plurality of removable vibratory massage units are each mounted within one of the receptacles for imparting a vibratory massage effect. A massage chair is provided with a base for resting upon an underlying support surface. A seat bottom is supported upon the base. A seat back is supported by the base and/or the seat bottom. The massager is provided in the seat back and/or the seat bottom. A method for permitting selective removal of a massage assembly from a massager provides a body support member with a frame and a cavity, and a substrate with a series of receptacles. The substrate is installed to the frame. A plurality of removable vibratory massage units are installed in the receptacles.
Abstract:
A pelvis interface may include a subject attachment module including a waist attachment and a back attachment. The interface may further include an arm assembly coupled to the subject attachment module, the arm assembly including a plurality of arms so coupled to one another and/or to the subject attachment module as to permit the subject attachment module at least one pelvis translation degree of freedom and at least one pelvis rotation degree of freedom. The interface may further include motors so coupled to the arm assembly as to actuate at least one pelvis translation degree of freedom and at least one pelvis rotation degree of freedom.
Abstract:
The lower extremity exoskeleton comprises two leg supports connectable to person's lower limbs and configured to rest on the ground during their stance phase. Each leg support comprises a thigh link and a shank link; a knee joint configured to allow flexion and extension between the shank link and the thigh link. The lower extremity exoskeleton further comprises an exoskeleton trunk connectable to the person's upper body. The exoskeleton trunk is connectable to the thigh links of the leg supports allowing for the flexion and extension between the leg supports and the exoskeleton trunk. Two torque generators are coupled to each of the knee joints. A power unit, capable of providing power, is coupled to the torque generators. In operation when a leg support is in a stance phase and climbing a slope or stairs, the power unit injects power into the respective torque generator thereby extending the respective knee angle. When a leg support is in stance phase and not climbing a slope or stairs, the power unit does not inject any power to the respective torque generator, but without dissipating any stored power in said power unit, it forces the torque generator to resist flexion of the respective knee joint. When a leg support is in a swing phase, the power unit does not inject any power to the respective torque generator, but without dissipating any stored power in said power unit, it forces the torque generator to minimize its resistance to knee flexion and extension.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a walker having a main supporting frame, a superstructure frame and a body support means. The superstructure frame is operatively arranged for vertical adjustment relative to the main supporting frame and includes an adjustable interior opening for accommodating a user and an entrance gate operatively arranged to provide access to the adjustable interior opening. The body support means is secured to the superstructure frame and operatively arranged to support the user. Furthermore, the walker may include four wheels, each of which may include a directional locking apparatus and/or braking system, and the walker may include at least one arm support operatively arranged for supporting the user. The walker may also include at least one handle operatively arranged for transmission of the walker.
Abstract:
A vibrating patient support apparatus (10) has a spring loaded percussion device (84) preferably for treatment of pulmonary problems of a patient. Preferably, the percussion device is part of a bed mattress (22) and is located beneath an upper cushioning member (36) of the mattress for patient comfort. The percussion device (86) preferably has a resilient pad (39) in contact with the cushioning member (36), a rigid member (126) disposed below the pad, a plurality of springs (130) engaged between the pad and rigid member, a cam (104) in biased contact with the rigid member by the springs and an electric motor (100) for rotating the cam.
Abstract:
A wellness apparatus, comprising: at least one support for a body portion of a user of the apparatus; at least one robotic actuator adapted to move the body portion; and a controller configured to control the actuator in accordance with needs of the user for physical exercise, the controller also adapted for assisting the user with primarily non-physical exercise activity.
Abstract:
The invention relates to training devices for development and natural functioning of vagina muscles. The inventive training device comprises an inflatable vaginal chamber which is pneumatically connected to an external inflatable chamber, a pressure source and a pressure meter. The vaginal chamber exhibits a high axial strength, thereby making it possible to determine a vaginal volume. The vaginal chamber can be used with covers having different shapes and sizes, thereby making it possible to carry out controllable trainings as much as possible identical to reality, to help a partner including a soft penetration and to perform a birth phychoprophylaxis. The use of a handle makes it possible to control and develop local muscle groups along the vagina depth. The support for fixing the covered vagina chamber or the handle makes it possible to learn sexual experiences in different positions associated with the control of the operation of vaginal muscles when acquiring a tight penetration.
Abstract:
The present invention is related to a pelvis correcting apparatus comprising a pedestal for a user sitting thereon; at least one pair or more of pressing units each arranged in both sides of the pedestal facing the other to press a pelvis region of the user sitting on the pedestal; a driving motor rotating clockwise and counter-clockwise installed at one side of the pedestal; and pressing unit moving means for simultaneously moving a remaining pressing unit toward the pelvis with the driving motor when one of any pair of the pressing units moves toward the pelvis, and for moving the remaining pressing unit away from the pelvis when one of any pair of the pressing units moves from the pelvis.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pelvis remedial seated device and a control method thereof for remedying into its original place a women's widened pelvis after child birth. The pelvis remedial seated device is comprised of a seat (10) included a seat cushion (11) on which an occupant is to be seated and left/right seat sides (12a, 12b) provided uprightly at each side end of the seat cushion (11); a pair of air bags (20a, 20b) nested on an inner side of each side for enabling themselves to be expanded or contracted by air supplied into or discharged from the inside of the air bag; and air injection means for providing air pressure to the air bags (20a, 20b); wherein the expanding air pressure in the air bags presses the pelvis portion of an occupant. According to the present invention, the air pressure can artificially press the pelvis portion of the woman with seated or lying down relaxedly without constraining the human body so that rapid the pelvis remedy can be attained.
