Abstract:
A toothing of a pinion, which corresponds to a toothed piston of a door closer or of a door operator. The toothing is mounted position-oriented with regard to the two square shaft ends located at the ends of the pinion.
Abstract:
A retrofit conversion kit for facilitating the conversion of a door operating apparatus conventionally mounted above the door, to a position mounted and anchored underground for operating a swinging door therefrom. The conversion to an anchored underground position is facilitated by incorporating positional adjustment mechanisms covering any or all possible adjustment dimensions.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a gear motor, preferably for driving a door, comprising a motor and a transmission flanged to the same with a central, continuous hollow shaft and a plug-in shaft adapted to the profile shape of the hollow shaft, which serves as an output shaft.
Abstract:
A barrier movement or garage door operator has a jack shaft connected to an output shaft delivering power to move a barrier or garage door between open and closed positions, the jack shaft and output shaft being connected by a coupling. The coupling, jack shaft, and output shaft are fixed relative to each other. The coupling connects the jack shaft and output shaft for rotation around a common axis. The coupling receives a portion of the jack shaft and output shaft for securing the shafts within the coupling by compressing against an outer surface of each shaft. The shafts may be cylindrical, and the compressive force may be distributed around the cylindrical outer surface of the shafts. The coupling may have a portion sized to correspond to respective predetermined diameters or sizes of the shafts.
Abstract:
A continuous roll of screen which may be payed out from said roll by an installer or manufacturer to a required predetermined window size, or alternatively patio door size, said screen comprising a free end which allows the installer to pay the screen off of the roll upon which the screen is accumulated course upon course, one end of said screen being disposed at the end of the courses accumulated on the roll from which the screening is payed off and the other end being a free end, said screen having side edges and preferably being manufactured from preferably vinyl-coated fiberglass, the edges of said screen having affixed thereto a generally preferably T-shaped key manufactured from a flexible material, for example polyvinyl chloride, which is affixed preferably by radio frequency welding (or RF welding) with the edges and preferably each of the edges, and in one embodiment at least one edge of said screen, wherein the vinyl coating provided on the screen melds with the polyvinyl chloride key to form a resilient anchor for the screen device within any screen roller assembly.
Abstract:
A flap drive for a flap includes two identical lever joint arrangements which are arranged in pairs at a distance from one another. The flap can be moved out of its closing position into its opening position and back by the flap drive. In this case, the lever joint arrangements are articulated pivotably with one of their ends in each case on a side region of the flap and with their other ends at a fixed location on the motor vehicle. The mutually corresponding pivot axes of the articulation points extend coaxially to one another. Movement transmission devices for the pivotable drive of a driven lever of each lever joint arrangement are guided by a common motive drive unit, the driven levers being articulated at a fixed location on the motor vehicle.
Abstract:
A power-operated system for actuating the rear doors or liftgates of motor vehicles is disclosed. The system includes a strut assembly having two struts, each strut mounted on one side of the door between the door and the vehicle's door frame. One end of each strut is connected to a powered rotating arm. To open the door, the rotating arms change the angular orientation of the struts such that they have a substantial mechanical advantage. In this position, the force provided by the struts overcomes the weight bias of the door, thus opening the door. To close the door, the rotating arms change the angular orientation of the struts such that the struts have a decreased mechanical advantage, reducing the force provided by the struts, and therefore causing the door to fall closed under its own weight bias. A control system for controlling the power-operated system is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A retractable screen is located within a frame portion of a window. The screen accumulates on and pays out from a spring biased roller located in said frame portion. The screen is fully retractable and for the most part hidden for viewing, egress or cleaning purposes, and is available as desired when moved to the operable position. The screening material utilized includes “T” shaped members for easy installation in compatible grooves provided with the handle and the roller.
Abstract:
A door glass raising and falling apparatus has a carrier plate 71 mounted onto a door glass 70. The door glass 70 is movable along sashes 41, 42 disposed on a door. The carrier plate 71 includes securing portions that are fixed to moving portions 67a, 67b of a wire-rope body 67. The carrier plate 71 also has a glass support portion 74 for supporting the door glass 70, and a pair of front and rear glass fixing portions 77, 78 each including a screw member 75. The door glass 70 has mounting holes supported by the glass fixing portions 77, 78, respectively. The dimension of the mounting holes is larger than the outside diameter of the shaft portion of each of the screw members 75 so that the door glass 70 is moveable with respect to the carrier plate 71. Also, a wire-rope body 150 extends over a plurality of pulleys. Some of the pulleys 142, 143 are rotatably mounted on frame members 136, 137 by pulley shafts 182 respectively. Rubber stoppers 184 are mounted on the pulley shafts 182, to limit the falling distance of the glass rising and falling body 162.
Abstract:
A closure assembly is provided including a track and a slidable and pivotable closure member. The closure member is engaged with the track proximate first and second pivots adjacent the pivotable end of the member, the first and second pivots being interconnected by a multiple segment shaft (for example at least two portions) (for example telescoping) which provides for accurate installation, retention, removal, adjustment and alignment of the first and second pivots in a substantially parallel line for pivotally supporting the closure member so that it may be safely and securely pivoted away from the closure assembly. Improvements to the abovementioned structure are also provided.
