    Abstract: The invention relates to tricyclic benzoylpyrazole derivatives of formula (I ), wherein the variables have the following meanings: X is oxygen or sulphur, S=O, S(=O)2, CR6R7, NR8 or a bond; Y, together with the two other carbons to which it is bonded, forms a saturated, partially saturated or unsaturated 5 or 6-membered heterocycle; R1, R2, R6, R7 are hydrogen, alkyl, alkyl halide, alkoxy or halogenalkoxy; R3 is halogen, alkyl, alkyl halide, alkoxy or halogenalkoxy; R4 is hydrogen, nitro, halogen, cyano, alkyl, alkyl halide, alkoxy, halogenalkoxy, alkylthio, halogen alkylthio, alkylsulfinyl, alkylsulfinyl halide, alkylsulfonyl, alkylsulfonyl halide, optionally substituted aminosulfonyl or optionally substituted sulfonylamino; R5 is hydrogen, alkyl or halogen; l is 0, 1 or 2; R8 is hydrogen, alkyl, alkyl halide, alkylcarbonyl, formyl, alkoxycarbonyl, alkoxycarbonyl halide, alkylsulfonyl or alkylsulfonyl halide and R9 is substituted pyrazole-4-yl- carbonyl or substituted 5-oxo-pyrazolin-4-yl-methylides; and the agriculturally useable salts thereof.
