Abstract: A method for preparing a T-cell progenitor from a CD34 positive stem cell is provided to control the differentiation direction of a hematopoietic precursor in an STF(stem cell factor, Thrombopoietin, Flk-2/Flt3 ligand) medium, proliferate the T-cell progenitor in large scale and be useful for cell therapy relating to AIDS, cancer and auto-immune diseases. A method for preparing a T-cell progenitor from a CD34 positive stem cell comprises the steps of: (a) isolating CD34 positive stem cells derived from blood selected from the group consisting of human peripheral blood, bone marrow and cord blood; and (b) culturing and differentiating the isolated CD34 positive stem cells in a medium containing at least one cytokine selected from the group consisting of thrombopoietin(TPO), stem cell factor(SCF) and flk-2/flt3 ligand(FL) and not including thymic organ to obtain the T-cell progenitor showing negative immunological characteristic on CD2 and positive immunological characteristic on CD4, wherein the medium is an STF(stem cell factor, Thrombopoietin, Flk-2/Flt3 ligand) medium.

Abstract: A multipotent stem cell derived from decidua or amnion isolated from human term placenta is provided to express both Oct4 and Cripto-1, be differentiated into mesenchymal stem cells, epithelial stem cells and neurons, thereby being applicable as a cell therapeutic agent due to excellent proliferation rate and being useful as a cell therapeutic agent of brain diseases such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, brain and spinal cord injury, and stroke. A method for preparing an adult stem cell comprises a step of culturing a pellet derived from amnion or decidua of human term placenta in a medium containing NAC(N-acetyl-L-cysteine) and then recovering the culture material, wherein the adult stem cell shows positive immunological characteristic on both Oct4 and Cripto-1 and has the ability of being differentiated into cells derived from endoderm, mesoderm and ectoderm and the adult stem cell derived from the amnion shows positive immunological characteristics on CD44, CD49b, CD73, CD90, CD24 and CD29 and negative immunological characteristics on CD4, CD33, CD34, CD45, CD62p, CD133, CD135 and HLA-DR. Further, the medium containing NAC(N-acetyl-L-cysteine) is a Keratinocyte-SFM(Serum-Free Medium) containing additionally an FBS(Fetal Bovine Serum), an ascorbic acid, a calcium, an rEGF(epidermal growth factor), a BPE(1,2-Bis (4-Pyridyl)Ethane), an insulin and a hydrocortisone.

Abstract: A display substrate and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve a viewing angle by a fine pattern and maintain the thickness of a liquid crystal layer uniformly by a cell gap maintaining pattern, thereby improving display quality. A base substrate(610) includes a plurality of pixel areas. A polymer layer is formed on the base substrate and includes a fine pattern(632) and a cell gap holding pattern(634). The fine pattern aligns the liquid crystal molecules of a liquid crystal layer. The cell gap holding pattern holds the cell gap of the liquid crystal layer. The pixel areas are divided by gate lines on an array layer formed between the base substrate and the polymer layer and source lines crossing the gate lines.

Abstract: A preparation method of layered nano structures and layered nano structures prepared thereby are provided to obtain homogeneous nano structure at lower temperature in a short time by coating nano raw material on nano support in the presence of multibubble sonoluminescence. A preparation method of layered nano structures comprises steps of coating nano raw material on nano support in the presence of multibubble sonoluminescence. The nano support is metal oxide particle having diameter of at most 50nm, which is selected from TiO2, ZnO, ZrO, Al2O3, Fe2O3, Fe3O4, Ga2O3, SnO2, Sb2O3, SiO2, MnO2, NiO2 and mixtures thereof. The nano raw material is metal chalcogenide of metal sulfate, metal selenide or metal telluride, which is selected from a group consisting of CdS, ZnS, HgS, PbS, InS, AgS, CuS, CdSe, ZnSe, HgSe, PbSe, InSe, AgSe, CuSe, CdTe, CdTe, ZnTe, HgTe, PbTe, InTe, AgTe, CuTe and mixtures thereof. For the multibubble sonoluminescence, the frequency of the supersonic wave is maintained at 10-20kHz, the power is maintained at 110-220W, the pressure is maintained at 1-2 atm by feeding the reaction reservoir with noble gas, and the temperature is maintained at 20-70deg.C. The preparation method of layered nano structures is carried out in situ by mixing metal oxide, chalcogenide precursor and metal oxide resolved in a solvent in the reaction reservoir while performing supersonic wave reaction for 20-30 minutes.

Abstract: A mass spectrometer is provided to improve the resolving power of each spectrum by installing four pairs of deflectors outside ionization source so that the amount of PSD ions at a location where PD laser is irradiated is maximally removed. A mass spectrometer comprises an ionization source(10) subject to a delayed extraction. Ions passing through an ionization source tube reach an ion gate(30). A deflection system(20), including four bipolar deflectors, is interposed between the tube and the ion gate to remove PSD ions. A PD laser(40) is installed next to the ion gate to irradiate laser onto ions that have passed through the ion gate. A detector(60) detects the ions according to the mass thereof.

Abstract: A quantum dot having a gradient shell structure and a method of manufacturing the same are provided to form economically the same within a short period of time by using a reaction difference of a semiconductor precursor. A quantum dot has a shell structure of a chemical compound of a second to sixth groups based on a chemical compound of a second to fourth groups. The chemical compound of the second to sixth groups for forming a shell has a band gap larger than a band gap of the chemical compound of the second to sixth groups for forming a core. The shell of the chemical compound of the second to sixth groups has gradient concentration. A method of manufacturing the quantum dot includes a process for mixing and heating the chemical compounds of the second group for forming the shell and the core, a process for heating the mixture at the temperature of 100-350 ‹C, a process for mixing the chemical compounds of the six group for forming the shell and the core, and a process for forming a shell structure having a gradient at the temperature of 100-350 ‹C.

Abstract: A DNA polymorphism marker of a lettuce chloroplast is provided to identify lettuce cultivars by finding out the difference between a specific region of a total lettuce chloroplast genome sequence of Lactuca sativa L. cv. Abstract: A floating-type nuclear reactor shutdown system is provided to drive a control rod assembly with only buoyancy by combining a high density of a coolant and a characteristic of the control rod assembly in a liquid metal cooling nuclear reactor. A floating-type nuclear reactor shutdown system is used in a liquid metal reactor and includes a control rod assembly. The control rod assembly includes a neutron absorption body(1) and at least one control rod. The neutron absorption body is placed on a lower part of the control rod assembly. At least one control rod is formed on an upper part of the neutron absorption body and has a dummy metal tube(2) composed of a metal tube including a lighter material than a coolant of the liquid metal reactor. In the normal driving, the control rod assembly is placed under a reactor core. In an emergency situation, the control rod assembly rises by buoyancy to control output of a nuclear reactor.
