Abstract: PURPOSE: To regulate a gas-turbine assembly simply and reliably with an outlet temperature easy to grasp by regulating the fuel quantity of an HP-combustion chamber based on the temperature signal recorded in that the temperature rise generated by the fuel quantity introduced into an LP-combustion chamber is subtracted from the outlet temperature of an LP-turbine. CONSTITUTION: The air 2 sucked into a gas-turbine assembly is compressed in a compressor unit 1, the compressed air 3 is burned in an HP-combustion chamber 4 together with a fuel 5, then the burned gas 7 is expanded by an HP-turbine 6. The exhaust gas 8 of the HP-turbine 6 is burned in an LP- combustion chamber 9 together with a fuel 10, and the burned gas 11 is expanded by an LP-turbine 12. A generator 4 is driven by both outputs of both HP and LP-turbines 6, 12. The fuel quantity FH of the HP-combustion chamber 4 is regulated based on the temperature signal T13-▵T recorded in that the temperature rise ▵T generated by the fuel quantity FL introduced into the LP-combustion chamber 9 is subtracted from the output temperature of the LP-turbine 12.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To simply cool a rotor at a low cost without using a cooling compressor and an external cooling medium by providing cooling air conduits on a stator casing, and arranging cooling air passages in the rotor below and above cells. CONSTITUTION: A rotor 1 formed as a cell wheel is arranged between two side members 4, 5 of the stator casing of a pressure wave machine. The rotor 1 is split into multiple cells 2, and the cells 2 are partitioned by partition walls 15 respectively and are rotated against both side members 4, 5. Both side members 4, 5 are provided with an inlet port 8 of a fuel-air mixture, an outlet port 9 of a low-pressure hot gas, an outlet port 10 of a high-pressure hot gas, and an outlet port 11 of a heated cooling gas respectively. Cooling air conduits are formed on the stator casing, and cooling air passages 3 are arranged in the rotor 1 below and above the cells 2 as viewed in the radial direction, thereby the rotor 2 can be simply cooled at a low cost.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To reduce the material cost and labor for matching by basically changing only the components on the gas outlet side of a radial turbine when matching the radial turbine of a turbocharger to an internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION: A radial turbine 1 is provided with a gas inlet casing 2 on the gas inlet side, and it is closed by a nozzle ring 3. An impeller 6 with vanes 5 on the drive shaft 4 of a compressor is provided on the gas outlet side. A gas flow duct 7 is constituted of the hub of the impeller 6 and a gas outlet flange 9. The gas outlet flange 9 is fitted to the gas inlet casing 2 by a fastening band 10 and screws 11. Only the components on the gas outlet side of the radial turbine 1 are basically changed for matching the radial turbine 1 to an internal combustion engine, i.e., the vanes 5 are shortened, the gas flow duct 7 is narrowed, and the gas outlet flange 9 is made easily releasable.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To measure the temperature of a depletion layer of a GTO during operation, by providing a measuring current to a gate circuit during an OFF state of the GTO, and measuring a voltage between the gate and a cathode of the GTO after a switching-off control current is decreased. CONSTITUTION: A depletion layer temperature measuring device constituted by a current source 6, a measuring unit 8 for a cathode gate voltage UGR, and a voltage source 7, are connected in parallel to a switching-on circuit 2 and a switching-off circuit 3. By the depletion layer temperature measuring device 4, a measuring current IM of approximately 100 mA is caused to flow, and the voltage UGR between a cathode and a gate of a GTO is measured. This voltage UGR is measured after a switching-off control current is decreased. This voltage UGR has a specified value dependent on the temperature of the depletion layer, and can learn the temperature of the depletion layer. Thus, the temperature of the depletion layer is accurately measured during operation.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To effectively cool a rotor by supplying cooling air from at least one hollow chamber between rotor disks into an axial passage, in a gas turbine which is provided with a bladed rotor and wherein the hollow chamber is present between the rotor disks and the axial passages are present on an outer peripheral part of the rotor. CONSTITUTION: A hollow chamber 9 is formed between disks 7, 8. A turbine is provided with a rotor blade 13 and a nozzle blade 14, and axial passages 17 (17ND, 17HD) are present between a platforms 16 composed of the rotor blade 13 and segmental heat barrier plates, and a rotor surface 15. Cooling air is supplied from a center passage 20 into the axial passage 17ND of the outer peripheral part of a rotor penetrating the hollow chamber 9 and a connecting opening 18. As cooling air is bled from a center part of a compressor, air is effectively cooled with a low temperature and low pressure. As the hollow chamber 9 is narrowed exceeding a ring chamber 11, contamination in cooling air is ejected from the connecting opening 18, and the contamination is prevented from sticking.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To generate a vortex in the longitudinal direction without requiring any recycle region in a passing inlet gap by introducing air into tangential gaps through a vortex generator. CONSTITUTION: The air is guided into tangential gaps 20 via vortex generators 9, a plurality of which are arranged across the width or the circumference of the gap 20 preferably with no intermediate space. The vortex generator 9 has height at least equal to 50% of that of the passing gap and fuel is introduced into the gap in a range immediately close to the vortex generator 9. It is therefore possible, in a new static mixer formed by a three-dimensional vortex generator, to achieve extraordinary short mixing distance at the burner inlet with a small pressure loss at the same time. It is especially suitable for mixing fuel having a relatively low front pressure with significantly lean combustion air.

CONSTITUTION: A fuel nozzle holder 8 and a fuel nozzle 9 have a plurality of outflow openings 6 and one passage both for an additional air mass flow 3 on a downstream side of a main flow 1. When the additional air mass flow 3 is blown out in front of an original combustion zone to make a spiral flow minimum, it is reduced or completely disappeared. As a result, an advantageous influence is provided to the rear flow at the insert 2 in the combustion chamber, and a harmful matter discharge value and a thermal load at a structural member are reduced.
