    Abstract: The present invention relates to a bioadhesive derived from mussel. In particular, it relates to a novel Mytilus galloprovincialis foot protein type 5 (MGFP-5) and a recombinant protein that is a hybrid of MGFP-5 and foot protein type 1 (FP-1), where an adhesive protein with adhesive activity can be economically mass-produced to be used in place of chemical adhesives through the present invention.

    Abstract: Provided are a stationary phase and a column using a cucurbituril-bound silica gel, and a method of separating taxane using the column. The taxane separation method includes: preparing a column for taxane separation, the column being packed with a stationary phase including a cucurbituril-bound silica gel in which a cucurbituril represented by Formula 1 or 2 is covalently bound to a modified silica gel represented by Formula 3; dissolving a taxane powder in a solvent to prepare a taxane-containing solution; applying the taxane-containing solution to the column; supplying a mobile-phase solvent to the column to obtain a taxane extract from the column; and purifying taxane from the taxane extract. Therefore, highly purified taxane can be separated from a low-purity crude taxane extract.

    Abstract: In a mobile communication system, a transmitter includes a first transmission antenna and a second transmission antenna, and the first and second transmission antennas transmit signals through at least one odd carrier and at least one even carrier. The transmitter determines a first symbol and a second symbol to be used for initial channel estimation of a receiver, encodes the first symbol and the second symbol by a preset transmit diversity scheme for a preset time, and transmits the encoded first and second symbols to the receiver through odd carriers and even carriers of the first transmission antenna and the second transmission antenna. The receiver receives a signal for the preset period, estimates channel frequency responses of odd carriers of the first transmission antenna and channel frequency responses of even carriers of the second transmission antenna, and estimates channel frequency responses of even carriers of the first transmission antenna and channel frequency responses of odd carriers of the second transmission antenna by using the estimated channel frequency responses.
